Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2024 Nov 14 4:48 pm)
Rob, Thanks for the offer. I'm a bit concerned since there are a AWFUL lot of small pieces and transparency files that have to go in the right places. I don't know how I would even START to x'plane all of it. The tweaking of placements took darn near a month. However it DOES animate rather well. Tony
not unless you want to make a pose for each bit that would take you another month, I just thought are the bits obj files or pp2's with the obj embedded? there was a discussion over at 3dcommune about joining pp2's together to make 1 file, I tried it & got a pp2 that was 10Mb but it worked, it had 12 seperate parts to begin with but when I finished I had to click once and the whole lot joined onto the figure together. Oops! I got the link wrong: http://www.soft-rabbit.com/ is correct. Very welcome. By the by, have you got the latest version (1.1.5)? There was an issue with an older version of something or other that caused a crashing error when Poser tried to load files converted in MacConverter, if they had been converted along wit the RSR. MartinC has since identified the problem and fixed it.Yep, I have 1.1.5 and, with a bit of luck, I'll get the zombie translated and finished by the weekend. I'm not sure yet what price I'll put on the figure but I promise to keep it as low as possible. If this piece moves well I have plans for more. I spent over 20 years as one of the top make-up artists in Hollywood (not bragging, just letting you know where this comes from) and 3D programs have finally caught up to a point where I can make that knowledge available and useful to artists. I would really like to know the kind of things that the community could find useful. Being able to charge reasonable amounts for this stuff will supplement my disability checks and help me make more things for everybody. I am also finishing one of the "Classic" Hollywood monsters from way back when and a turorial on how to animate and morph it. If there is something having to do with make-up (beauty or monsters--I've done both) please let me know either here or off the list. I'll help if I can. Tony Lane
