I already had a look at the online help, but without success. There are a lot of things you can activate by pressure of your pen, like jitter and so on. But I just want the simple thing: Hard pressure: 100% opacity, light pressure: less opacity. nothing of this dynamic crap, which crowds PS now. But I cant get it working. I always have 100% opacity, it doesnt matter what pressure I apply. Any hints? Thanks

I can't speak for PS 7, but for PS 6, when you select a tool, there's a littled botton on the upper right of the toolbar. Pressing it brings a drop down list of what can be selected for pressure sensitivity, for the brush for example, yoiu have three choices, them being Opacity, brush size, and color (which goes from the forground to the background colour gradually depending on your pressure you put). Where it would be located in PS7, I'm unsure, but if it's anything like PS 6, which me thinks it is, it should be on the bar below the bar containing FILE, EDIT, Layers, Windows, etc.

Hi Slynky, sorry, but PS 7 is totally different in this part from PS 6, otherwise I would ve figured it out by myself. PS 7 lets you now handle mabe ten different things by pressure... but somehow not opacity...

Have you tried the opposite of setting dark to opacity? Maybe set opacity as main base and use pen pressure for darker? Just a though......

Try this: Using the palette on the top menu bar (over to the right), click on "Other Dynamics" (don't just click the check box, click on the words). On the right side, set "Opacity Jitter" to zero and under control select "Pen Pressure".

Check the tablet maker's web site. Photoshop 7 would not respond to pressure on my Wacom Graphire2 Tablet until I downloaded the newest driver which was released in March of 2002.
