Subject: Need PNG Help

Philywebrider ( ) posted Wed, 12 June 2002 at 2:07 PM · edited Sat, 18 January 2025 at 4:26 PM

I downloaded a Poser Pose set, and the poses work fine, but the image that shows the pose will not show in the library. I looked in the folder and the images were in PNG. I'm using Poser 4 with the latest update. I'm at a loss as to how to fix the problem. I'm a novice, can anybody help? It is a real pain to have to load every pose just to loacate the one I need. :(

There is a program in freestuff called " P3do" a explorer specially for poser and there are some plugins, one of them is" PNG to RSR" converter , that can help you! In the freestuff search type "P3do" and you will find it all and its free :_))

phily, if you don't have poser pro pack, you won't be able to use pngs in your libraries. as thomas said, you'll need to transform them to rsrs.

Thanks thgeisel, aleks, I downloaded P3d0 the read me said the following; "borlndmm.dll and cc3250mt.dll are redistributed runtimes libraries necessary to run P3dO. They are only provided with full versions of P3dO but not with upgrades. You can get them from our web page." ??? I DL'd P3d0 Explorer 1.5.3, is that the complete version, if not where do I go to get theDll's? I also DL'd the plug-ins. Any install instructions I should know? Help!!!

Yarp, who created the very excellent P3dO Explorer has a WebPage where you can catch up on all things P3dO. You can also contact him either here or thru his site if any questions remain. You should be able to download the full version there along with plug-ins. (See link to SenoSoft)

Thanks leather-guy I went to sensosoft site, I still couldn't find the "full" version. I left a message asking where it is at. P3dO154 is out.

1.54 is still in beta - you need to install 1.53, THEN the upgrade (if you want to beta test, but 1.53 with the plugins will do what you originally wanted. It's on the download page.

Thank for the help leather-guy, Philywebrider as leather said the 1.5.4 is a beta release. It will soon turn to a full version but you can download the 1.5.3 to get the necessayr DLLs. Don't hesitate to mail me at yarp@senosoft.com if you have any question. I'm dug into problems with this 1.5.4 beta. I now have an XP testing machine and I found many bugs related to Unicode (the famous lock) and 32 bits (black or transparent thumbnails) that many of you should have met. So I'm fixing those bugs and then 1.5.4 will be far more portable than previous P3dOs were.

Yarp When you unzip P3d0153, where do you unzip it to? The default is to an "unzip" folder. From Stupid me

I always create a folder for each download. Then I create a temporary folder within that folder. I call it "undone," because no one else is likely to use that folder name in a download they prepared. Then I see how that download is organized, and proceed from there.

Philywebrider, have a look at the help file (P3dOExplorer.chm). Double-click on it from the zip and read the "getting started" section. You will see the above picture and the explanation on how to unzip all stuff. The picture in itself is helpfull. All .DLLs should go in same folder as P3dO exe. Now if you know Winzip enough - and if you use it - there's an option to unzip files with the same folder hierarchy as the zip file have. Use this option and the zip will self-install P3dO effortless. There's a picture with this option checked on the help file "getting started" page. is this ok ? 1.5.4 will now have a setup, sorry for inconvenience.

btw the About.dll doesn't exist with 1.5.3 but it won't make your machine crash. 1.5.3 zip is standalone. Then erase that content with the 1.5.4 upgrade.
