Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2025 Jan 05 1:41 pm)
How many big movie companies do you think need a baseball for their upcoming films? At that price I am sure there are very few purchaces being made so in the end very little income to the modeler. Now if the price was, say $25, it would still be pricey, but I bet there would be more sales and ultimately more money in the modelers pocket when the day is done.
...being a hobbyist, I have a problem even spending more than $25 or so per item....so, for instance, BillyT stuff, of Harvey Manns hair items, and so forth...yes they are great, but hard to justify... Even skipped Pro Pack because of the price.

That's true.... I used to smoke 2 packs of cigarettes a day...plus quit drinking a few years ago...so theororetically I should have at leat $6/day or $180 a month to spend on Poser stuff just from the cigarette savings....from the beer, rum, and tequila...hmmmm...probably $10-20/day considering I used to drink like a fish...although fell over like a rock :) Where does all the cash go now ????? I'll have to ask my wife

That ball could have geometry for every one of those threads. If you've seen the sports networks they do closeups of baseballs, golf balls etc all the time. I don't think this is just a simple sphere with a bump map. I do think it does have some sort of ironic humor to it thought. Kind of like charging $125 for a toothpick model.
you mean you wouldn't buy the toothpick model I'm making for 125? ~pout~ ~rotflmao~ working on one prop set....42 objects was planning on around a 20 price tag. if it's to highly priced won't sell, I ain't that silly. and 20 for a prop that you can use to help prove copyright on your images? sounds fair to me.
still, unless that ball is brought to my house by a lovely playmate (whom I also get to keep as well) 1025 bux for a model of a ball is crazy. If I couldn't make the same thing in <30 minutes, I'd give up my right to fuss about the images in the various galleries and will myself begin posting images of a topless Vicky in her latest hairstyle :P U think maybe the US government buys these things? (like the 300 dollar toilet seats a while back) :P BT
