Hi everyone! I'm back online, full time, after one of my dearest cousins had a stroke, was in hospital for the last 3 weeks and unfortunately passed away last week - to cut a long story short (btw, he was still only 54 years old). Anyway, as stupid as it may sound, now that we've burried him yesterday morning, my 'mind' is no longer really occupied with all this....so we're/I'm feeling good and I'm back online again! (Incase anyone wondered ;) Well, I still had some photos on a few rolls. I had them developed and I just picked them up. So, here they are....it's a bit of everything cause I wanted to test out my new lens & there was also an historic (sort of re-enactment) day, as part of this year's festivities to celebrate this town's 750th birthday :) The first two are from our church, which is even older....they resorated just about everything inside, including the beautiful organ. Have fun & glad to be back =)

They lack a bit of sharpness, cause I was shooting Velvia (50)......and it was soooooo dark inside.

And one of the new buildings in our town....lovely appartments (at more than $500k a piece, ouch!)

Inside the church, a little statue of angel that sits on the stairs that lead up to the organ. If you look at the 1st photo closely you can see it standing on that pole, where the stairs start (left)

Btw, I used my flash on the shot above...really weird to see people being filled in by the light. Any comments ? This photo is one of the people on the old market, acting to sell all kinds of things.

And the last one is one I shot out of the bedroom window. Nothing special, but the sunset was so special =)

These are all wonderful Rork! Awful news of your cousin, my condolences.... I think the fill-flash worked well with your Spaniards pic, it might have been too dark otherwise. That church is spectacular...and that new building is quite unusual looking! Thanks for sharing these and nice to have you back!

I am, therefore I create.......

Hi Rork, good to see you again. Sorry to hear about your cousin. Impressive church (damn, why are churches always so impressive? If religion is always about helping the needy how come they always spend so much money on churches?!? grrr...... Sorry...rambling) Great festival shots, good to see the marketeer selling camoflage gear....lol....maybe those Spaniards are something to watch out for after all?!? (".)

Welcome back, Rork! I'm glad you're up and about, despite the sad departure of your cousin. These are awesome shots! I like the purple haze and the people pics. I love dem brilliant colors. :-) (*
