THE PLACE FOR ALL THINGS BRYCE - GOT A PROBLEM? YOU'VE COME TO THE RIGHT PLACE

Subject: Importing Poser 4 characters into Bryce 5

I've tried several times to put my poser characters into my Bryce pictures. The only problem is that I don't know how to make a texture map for the characteer once I've finished it in poser. I always have to use the default ones and they never look very good. I also can't get the hair to come out right. Any tips or advice?

Check out the th tutorial in the uh.. tutorial section. I know there's at least one that deals with exactly that question.

You can always use other texture maps people have created, do a search in free stuff. Check out some of the links here http://3dmodelworld.com/poserlinks.asp I'm sure you can find poser tex maps and tuts on creating them.

maybe you should post a screen print of what your settings are, would make it easier for people to see what you have done and what might need changing ;)

Aha, Google search and a little time, I found probably one of the best tutorials I have ever seen, it is very in depth but it helped me tremendously, getting all the poser stuff converted to Bryce is time consuming but actually fairly easy once you understand the process, this is a very good tutorial and after reading it I somewhat understand the other tutorials because this one explains different things to do on what versions and patch level of poser you are running, and it is very detailed in exporting from poser to get the correct export to avoid distortion of the texture. http://www.iaw.on.ca/~jspirko/tutorial_poser_characters.htm
