Subject: New Contest - the Strange and the Familiar

All right, I have the page up for the new contest: http://www.etherealfancy.com/bluecontest.html The contest will run from June 6 to June 20, and the theme is the "Strange and the Familiar". It's a little harder than last month's so I thought I'd make the prize a bit more exciting - the first place winner can choose any $5 item from the Marketplace. Have fun with this one guys :) -Jenna

might want to change the text of the how to enter section. still says to tell you what element is old and what is new so you're not cluelss.

Well, this is another tough theme to wrap around. You know what's cool? I had book marked the last contest page and now it automatically goes to this one. Guess you're stuck with me for the life of your contests BlueVenus (grin) On the contest page you mentioned that you were trying to think of something for a runner up prize.... an award button or banner that one can put on their web page with their picture or store in their chest of treasures would be a very cool item :)

Ohhh bluevenus, looks like the only problem with the contest will be picking a winner. Thank you for the running a contest with an "open format". All the entries have been varied and uniquely wonderful. I can hardly wait for the next creation to be posted to the contest site :) ladynimue

The contest page looks so awesome! Thank you to Giovanino for the wondeful examples!! That helps (grin) this dried up mind. There are so many wonderful entries there already, this is exciting!!

@ BlueVenus...
Is this "contest" open to ALL members?? The reason i ask is I am the co-mod for the Photoshop forum and as such I am considered staff, and this often disqualifies me from entering any contest that may appear "fixed" if i were to win (especially if "prizes" are awarded). Does this contest fall under that type of senerio? Would there be any problem with me entering a piece or should i stay to the side.

Don't worry about hurting my feeling it you (all) think it wouldn't be right to have a "staff" entry.

BTW great contest themes...
