Subject: Model imported in pieces rescale differently!

I was trying to break a model into different pieces based on the textures I wanted and then reassemblin in Vue4d..
To my surprise each piece came in at a unique scale to the others which makes re-assembly tedious and potentially inaccurate. Does anyone know how to change this?

Also, when working in full screem mode the zoom features are disabled. Is there a workaround?

Is there a pan feature anywhere? (A tool to move the viewport around to see different horiz and vert areas of the model in the front, side, and top views.)

Thanks!
Larry

Let me answer my own questions! THere is a setting to turn off center and resize automatically that fixes the first problem I had. On the mac using the control key and apple keys with the mouse lets you pan and zoom in any view.
