Anybody who thinks that 15 pages constitute a Design Document for a game which merges all genres is hanging over the abyss on a very thin line. My completed Design Document for a game which merged puzzles and adventure is almost 250 pages... plus almost another linear foot of collateral material (puzzles, maps, storyboards, character illustrations, etc.). Besides, this guy can't spell worth beans or clearly communicate a basic premise... both essential skills in a game designer. Carolly

Only 15 pages? Perhaps for a summary.

I hesitate to think how large the design doc for Deus Ex was ... a sci-fi/conspiracy first-person role-playing/adventure/shooter with open-ended gameplay, multiple solutions for each challenge, three alternate endings, and the optional stealth gameplay of Thief ....

Warren Spector is a game god.

Little_Dragon, Do you remember that place in Ultima Underworld (the FIRST true 1st person game), where you meet "an unhappy spectre named Warren"? ::chuckle nostalgically:: Paul Neurath assembled a damn fine crew... there was some absolutely brilliant programming and physics modeling in those games... and the guys were "good people" besides. In your dreams, Fleushman. (Obscure reference to Northern Exposer not deleted.)
