I just downloaded and installed the new Poser updater (beta 4.0.2.117) for Mac OS. Since Larry's updates include the P4 nude woman, the bikini top and the rattlesnake, I decided to put those elements in one image. (Women are typically frightened by snakes.) One undocumented fix I've noticed is that when a user selects a low-detail display style, such as Hidden Line, the figure's hair uses the same style as the figure itself. Previously the hair retained the document's display style, usually Flat Shaded. The woman's hair is the Zygote Morph Hair. I would have included the cloudscape background from the Poser 4 content CD-ROM, but I didn't want to risk running out of memory.

I've just installed the latest update (117) for Windoze, and noticed the same thing with the display style and the hair. I've not (yet) had a chance to play with the replacement figures, but I've noticed that OBJ export seems much smoother. Paul (Who's typically afraid of any creature that can put a hurtin' on him)

I'm not afraid of anything as long as I've got a shovel to smack it with. God gave me a gift. I shovel. I shovel well. SewerRat

Try using a shovel on a grizzly bear. That'll make you very afraid.

I'm female and I love snakes! Maybe not so up close, but I think they are beautiful creatures. I have a story character named Warrior, who is a mutation cross between a man and 23 snakes. I hope someday to make a Poser version of Warrior.

wouldn't the man get arrested for trying to cross breed with snakes? I think that's illegal... SewerRat

It's from a story line that is the basis for a set of role playing rules that my late fiance and I created. A game called Nevermore. The date is 2165 and a plague sweeps across the Earth from space. Two-thirds of the population is instantly killed, actually turned to ash. Of those that were left, a third went insane (Crazies), a third were mutated (Mutants), and a third were immune (Norms). Warrior was one of those who mutated. The instance of his mutation is a bit longer than I can get out right here. But no, Warrior wasn't trying to 'mate' with the snakes. He actually was dying at the time when it happened.

so that's the story you're sticking with? no jury is going to believe it =) SewerRat

Yep, that's what I'm sticking to. I have the stat sheets to prove it, very detailed descriptions of Warrior's mutations and his new abilities.
