Subject: Asia Obj problem

rfrew ( ) posted Sat, 22 June 2002 at 7:59 AM ยท edited Fri, 11 October 2024 at 4:58 AM

I can't get the new Asia charactor's obj morph's to load on my Mac.(a G4 Ti, 1G of RAM, 800MHz, OS9.2.2) I select her head, set the Vic morph to 0, and try to load the morph but I get a msg that says it can't read the obj file. The download seems good. Even though this was a Mac download, do I still have to do something else to the obj files? Seems I remember a thread a while back on that topic but I can't find it. Thanks.

The cr2 must reference a different installation of Victoria. Which "asia" is this?

It is the SteffyZZ Asia character. How can I correct that reference?

I found a folder entitled "Asia obj morphs," which contains 3 obj files: AsiaHead, leftcollar, and rightcollar. Look for those and apply them to the proper body part. Maybe that'll solve the problem. If all else fails, write StefyZZ; she's helped me out several times with her products. Good luck!

On my installation, they are in ...Poser 4RuntimeAsiaObjMorphs. If you try the wrong body part, you should get a "wrong number of vertices" error. If it's saying it can't read the file, something else is wrong. There is a program called MacConverter (I believe) which you need to use on some Poser files for the Mac but I don't know if obj files fall into that category. I'm assuming that if it was a Mac specific download, you shouldn't need to do anything. Perhaps the obj files are damaged.
