This is a preliminary idea of what my new cowboy will look like. I'm waiting for the next PoserWorld (PWFW) update to give him a better wardrobe, in addition to lots of really great stuff they have in store. I like the idea of the long hair and beard. It gives him more character. Yes, that is Anton's Fantasy Beard. It was time to use it again! The Poses and Pistols are from the set of Gunslinger Poses for the Millennium Cowboy, available at DAZ. Don Albert created the Poses, and Questor created the guns.

He's a pretty mean looking cowpoke, Ron. I like him. The hair does work prefectly for him. He looks like he's been out on the range for a while and he's gunnin' for a stiff one at the salloon! LOL I'd stay outta his way. Better let the Sherriff know he's back in town and their ain't room there enough for the both of them. Melanie

Thanks for the compliments. I'll give you a great clue! Get on over to DAZ Free Stuff archives and look for Questor's weapons. You'll find lots of Questor's goodies, all converted for Poser! I'm using Questor's holsters for this render. By the way, for some reason at least one of these gunslinger's poses causes Mike's left Real Eye to disappear. It's there but you can't see it. I had to tweak this pose because Mike's left arm was buried into his chest.

Ron- Which pose is the problem? I will take a look. -Don

Hey, Don, you and Questor put out a fine product. I'm sure there's some little glitch that crept in here? Here's a closeup of the LongShot02 pose. It's quite freaky the way the Real Left eye apparently disappeared. Funny thing, it hasn't happened in the other poses I've done so far!

Looks like he's closed one eye to aim up Ron. Did you check the setting on the eyelid?

DOH!!!!! Gosh, I can't tell the difference between a closed eye and missing eye!!!! Thanks!!!!

judith ( ) posted Sat, 22 June 2002 at 12:11 PM

He needs to "squint" a bit more, I think. That may have been why it wasn't quite as obvious. :))

Judith is correct. One eye is closed for aiming. You may notice this in some of the rifleman poses, too.

Good job Ron. Where did you get the beard? Is it the one from Daz? Tashar 59

The beard is actually Anton's Fantasy Beard. It combines the hair and beard... you can customize as much as you want. I'm a bit lazy, so I used the default beard/hair style, and changed the hair color. He started out with white beard and hair, and looked like Kenny Rogers, in "The Gambler." That's a nice look but I didn't want to change his face to appear older. Like I said, I'm lazy. Now I'm rendering all the poses in Don's great collection! By the way, Don, I discovered I was using the beta set you gave me months ago. I had not used it before because I frankly didn't have the talent to get two guns in Mike's hands. Your new set, and "smart props" took care of that problem. And Questor's guns and holster are fantastic. Ron

Anton's Fantasy Beard is a great product. I've actually been using it on my female characters (with the beard-portion made invisible), since I'm too cheap to buy the Full-and-Feathered hair.
