Handspan Studios and dacort have teamed up to make Electra, a new and unique character for Victoria. Electra features character morphs and textures, along with a pair of conforming cyber legs. The legs come with two textures, out-of-the-box shiny and post-nuclear weathering.

She's great you two should be very proud!!!

Great legs! Are you planning to expand this set with some arms too? And what about a Michael version? Is it a Poser render or aBryce one?

dcort ( ) posted Sat, 22 June 2002 at 1:59 PM

We thought we'd see how this one went over before doing more, but so far people seem to like her. We will probably do an arm set, maybe some clothing and accessories, too. We might do a Mike version, though I think the legs would have to be changed a bit. They seem a bit feminine for Mike, I think. The above are all Poser renders. A reflection map is included in the package.

They are in my wish list. I would be interested in an expansion and a male version. BTW the reflection map is great, I thought it was Bryce!

This is soooo cool!

Thanks, I actually have a lot of ideas along these lines so I am glad the community is showing an interest in sci fi characters :). Please continue to let us know what you might be interested in.

This is cool, I agree with the above posts a male version would be cool, just being able to have one arm or leg being robotic would be great for sci-fi images, you could really flesh out a character with an artificial cybernetic limb. Keep it up.

Noel, I have to tell you that is one of the BEST product posters I have ever seen.....Hats off.......

Colm_Jackson ( ) posted Sat, 22 June 2002 at 8:18 PM

Hey Noel.... Been waiting a while to see this one finnished. What can i say but WOW!!! I'm with Syyd on the poster too. On dcort's I really like the used metal look. It gives it a great realistic feel. Well in a cyber sense...

Styxx ( ) posted Sat, 22 June 2002 at 8:19 PM

lmao! An evil twin, I love it! G Of course, yours is much prettier, so she's got to win, right? (or will there be a scooby-doo ending? mwa hahaha!) Thanks Syyd, that makes my day, considering I usually leave the marketing schtuff to Shelley G It's not really my forte, ya know? lol

leather-guy ( ) posted Sat, 22 June 2002 at 8:55 PM

dcort - Just my luck this was posted the day after I make my latest PoserBuy - needless it's in my shopping cart for my next buy. Any plans for one or two arms to match the legs? - Or a metaloid "Peeled-Face" prop to replace the head? The Coroded texture suggests several scenarios with additions such as these... ...Or how about a metalized Undine or Mermaid cyborg?... ...I'd better stop now.... Message671414.jpg

I was pretty thoughtless, but quite excited, and I apologize to dcort and handspan for hijacking your thread. Noel

You are grace under pressure......thanks Noel. Thanks Dcort and hansdpan as well for another fine product.

jaybutton ( ) posted Sat, 22 June 2002 at 11:59 PM

Hey Dan, you were holding out on me! :P This is great! I second the pleas for arms and a Michael version. I like Jarm's idea of being able to pick which limb or limbs, you wanted to cyber out. That way we could really make some interesting characters. Maybe you could have different hands that could be swapped out, like for a claw or a gun. Just a thought. Great work! Jay

Jamesadactyle ( ) posted Sun, 23 June 2002 at 2:48 PM

Wow, I'm really digging those cyber legs, and my eyebrows jumped at the idea of cyber arms. Great idea and package! Now I've got to save even MORE pennies.

Dave71 ( ) posted Sun, 23 June 2002 at 4:33 PM

I got her and love the legs......Arms and accessories would be great, I join that chorus :)

dcort ( ) posted Mon, 24 June 2002 at 1:43 AM

Thanks everyone for the suggestions. It looks like the idea has gone over pretty well. Arms and accessories are in the works. ;) The legs as they are could be used for just one leg. All you'd need to do would be to make the leg you didn't want to "cyberize" invisible in the hierarchy window. Anyway, time to get to work...

This is such a fabulous character-I love it to pieces!!!! Wonderful work, the legs resemble Maria from Metropolis!
