hi... i know this is probable very simple.. but i can't seem to get it.. When i put clothes on someone, then move her position, her clothes get's off track.. why? i know i can "conform" to the body, but it doesn't stay. Is there a way?

what do you mean by off track? Do the figure's body parts poke throught the clothing? If that's the problem, then select the offending body part, go to object in the tool bar. In the roll down window select properties, and make the offending body part invisible. If the doesn't work... hit the computer with a hammer. That'll do the trick lol.

I'm a semi-newbie too... but until someone comes along who knows what they're talking about... What exactly do you mean? If you conform the clothes to the figure, and then move the figure away, the clothes should go with them. If you mean that, say, you bend or twist the figure and bits of their body poke through the clothing, that's just a bit of what poser does... Clothes can be a real bummer sometimes. With some clothes, the secret is to select the offending body part (on the character), then call up its properties and make it invisible. This does the trick, so long as it's not a garment that only covers part of that body part. I still haven't found a way around that myself yet. Or if I'm barking up the wrong tree, and this isn't your problem, let me know! John

Just in case it's not what you're doing...to conform clothing, load the human model first, then the clothing. With the clothing selected, click on "Figure" -> "Conform to" and select the human model from the drop down menu. The clothing should then move with the figure whatever you do. Some clothing items don't get along well with IK. Select each figure in turn, click "Figure" -> "Use Inverse Kinematics" and remove any ticks that are in there. If you still get bits of the model showing through the clothing, the solution is either to tweak the clothing manually - using the scaling dials and/or magnets (not easy when you're new to it, I know), or to fix it in postwork (clone or smudge tools in photoshop or some other graphics program). If none of that helps...how about posting a couple of screenshots of the problem, so we can see more clearly what you mean. There's bound to be someone here who can help!

Others have done a good job of answering questions until you're able to clarify the exact problem. In the meantime, you might find my Tutorials and Freebie site of good use. I wrote a tutorial on how to dress your Poser figure. My tutorials are geared toward the newbie, and they have plenty of illustrations!

I got it... yeah like i would put on a shirt on a girll... and when she "twisted" her upper body, one of her nipples came through... i didn't like that. but i guess i'll have to manually change it.. It's even harder than you think... my mouse is defective :) and when i click... it clicks 2 times :) So when i click on the turny thingy, it double clicks.. I ordered a new wireless mouse and keyboard. should come in soon... like a few days.

So is the shirt meant for the woman who is wearing it? Have you morphed the woman so that she no longer fits the shirt?

no.. it's p4 woman with p4 clothes. if i move her then comform it again.. it seems to work.
