Mazak, I was confident of your reliabiity. I must say this was the fastest fix I've ever seen. I just happened to see some new posts in this thread, and went to the site to get the socks. Thanks very much. You're one of the best.

They could look good on the horse too. For the race horse look.

LOL....no need for translation bud....I understand it all too ;-) I was born in Austria, when I was a real young wippersnapper I got hauled over to the great land to the north, Canada...still remember those high Alps...yup... Cheers.

Mazak=) hey, if I could get them to fit, I have been looking fort some leg warmers for the horse. We don't get to see those much anymore, but in Europe and the MidEast, I think they used to be very popular. Vicky's a thoroughbred for sure. Thanks, Q

aghh, I was just needing this kind of socks.. and the link is dead...

anyone knows if this is available anywhere else?? or similar socks (loose)?

Mazak's site is now here - and so are the socks. Bear in mind that back in 2002, "Vicky" meant Victoria 1 or 2, so you'll have to do some refitting to use them with later figures.

This is the type of thread that'll make me get just as misty-eyed as Hillary Clinton.

This thread poping back up now is perfect. I'm currently using a resurrected hybrid Vicky 2 type character and I might be able to make use of those socks. Awesome timing!

Now all I need is to find Ganguro-style makeup for one of the DAZ figures, and I'm off to Shibuya.

Believe it or not, but this "style" seems to still be in!  At least according to some women I see at the gym.

Personally I never understood the "leg warmers" for exercising, other than a fashion statement from the movie "Fame".

"It is good to see ourselves as others see us. Try as we may, we are never
able to know ourselves fully as we are, especially the evil side of us.
This we can do only if we are not angry with our critics but will take in good
heart whatever they might have to say." - Ghandi

The absolute worst fashion decade -- ever, bar none -- was without question the 70's.  Looking back on old film clips and photographs now, I just can't believe that we actually thought that dressing like that and wearing our hair like that made us look "cool".  The fashions began to improve somewhat around 1975 -- but for the most part we should have been embarrassed to be seen out in public.

Bring back 80's fashions any day over the 1970's: the ultimate era of bad taste.  Man, did everyone look stupid.........

I dunno. A denim jacket with a studded astrological sign on the back is the hallmark of class. OK, my parents made me wear it. What could I do?

XENOPHONZ ( ) posted Thu, 10 January 2008 at 3:26 PM

Don't forget Levi's "The Stranger" commercials -- I actually used to dress like that in the early 70's.......of course I was just a kid at the time, so I have an excuse.
