Fiontar, I don't have time right now to go into detail but Spike's tutorial is excellent and will help you http://www.mindspring.com/~zonefive/ There are also threads in the archives on this--try searching for transmaps or by my name (picnic). I did 2 with printscreens of what you need to have in the pic library. You will not get the transmaps to import from Poser-you have to apply them from within Bryce. Always remember after you get them imported in the pic library, that you need to have 'blend transparency' selected in the drop down menu beside where the pic library displays (little triangle on upper right side of material lab). I use transmapped hair and eyelashes all the time in Bryce. However, Allie's hair is less than satisfactory. Someone (gosh I wish I could remember who) suggested duplicating the hair--because of the way Bryce renders it gets a bit 'thin' looking. Kyoko hair looks great in Bryce--as do eyelashes. I'll be back to check this thread this afternoon and if you need more help, I'll be glad to do that. Diane B
Sure do Nandus. Go to http://www.interq.or.jp/red/pandt21/EDLMTChara.htm and download Nene 4.1.1SE and you will get Kyoko hair and transmap for eyelashes. Try "Young Nene" underneath Nene4.1 and you will get yet another transmapped hair and a 'younger' Nene. I also have 2 other transmaps for eyelashes, but Nene's are about the best. Diane B
I haven't used it lately, but that was part of the discussion several months ago. Seems reasonable to me because of the rendering in Bryce it is just 'too' thin. That's also a good idea to try one of the standard ones under it also. Thanks Nandus. BTW, are you familiar with Grey's Hair (Ian Grey from PFO--he and Yamato worked together on a different style)? If you don't have it I will try and locate the URL. Its nice too. You may have seen Tim Laubach's version of it several weeks ago. Diane B
Using 2 different hairs together works very well. In one of my images, The After-life of a 3D Artist at the sister site, I mixed the conform curls with one of the standard hairs - see woman at the right side. I don't have Grey's hair, Diane. I'll be glad to have it, since I'm a bit short in good looking hairs! Nandus

Hi, Is it possible to import poser transmaps into Bryce, and have them work like in Poser? I've used the conforming curl transmap and eye lashes transmap in Poser, and gotten the results I was looking for in Poser. However, I can't get the transmaps to import into Bryce via the .obj I export from Poser. I tried manually using the appropriate transmaps in Bryce, but can't get them to align any where near right. Is there a trick to this? A tutorial somewhere? Please help. TIA, Fiontar
