Subject: Collaboration with professional use

lswatts ( ) posted Tue, 25 June 2002 at 10:10 AM · edited Wed, 15 January 2025 at 2:02 AM

I'd like to know who is using Vue for contracted work to network and collaborate.

Since contract work has deadlines it requires a faster resolution of issues, problems and techniques.

This does not diminish in anyway those artists who are using the program for personal enjoyment or portfolio development and have longer periods of time to work.

Thanks
Lawrence

Other individuals who are solving production issues with the software to exchange those solutions.
And subcontracting on projects. (pay)

Larry, maybe first of all you could show what you're able to do? I cannot find any "lswatts gallery" at Renderosity? :-)Guitta

And in what app do you build the models?

Thank You for the repliss. I thought I had resolved the issues and began in ernest this morning. I had been unable to bring into Vue via 3ds a model with textures intact. As a workaround I split the model into pieces and imported individually. To my surprise the program resized the pieces which made re-assembly difficult. I discovered in preferences a checkbox that I could deselect so scaling would not occur. Today the program began crashing so frequently that I cannot continue. The only thing I did was reinstall the program to correct another problem with the program requesting textures I never used. That problem was resolved with the re-install. The only other difference is that the new model contains groups of objects. Model creation: pc version of sketchup VueD: Mac version OSX bridge program: Deep exploration to unify normals. Anyone, have any insight into the crashing program problem? Deadline: tomorrow mid day. Larry

Another thought. Do your models in turbocad, cdc4 and rhino always come into Vue without a problem? What about textures? OK. I need the realistic water for this projects as well as tress, grass, wheat, and ivy.

May I ask you to discuss Vue d'Esprit here, please. For your conversation concerning other software you could do it privately. Thanks for understanding. Guitta
