stand by to have holes picked in everything :) only kidding how about some background for the woman to be interacting with a floor/ground as well, check the freebies for global lighting, it's much better than default, check out a tutorial or two on how to do the global lighting yourself, REMC has a good tutorial for that the link's up there ^ Good pose, maybe a bit more expression in her face, check out travelers site for facial morphs too, www.morphworld30.com. that'll keep you busy for a couple of weeks :) I'm sure if I've missed anything someone will say. RobActually a bumpmap would help that robe a great deal and there are several [15 to 20] free ones at RDNA [rundna.com] The posing and the composition on your picture is pretty good. The colors are a little strident for me, but that is a very subjective thing. For textures, I have purchased a couple of texture packages and downloaded some other freeones, but simple fill textures usually look like simple fill. Still better than unbumped color, I suppose. I'm still looking for the truly good seamless texture maker. I hear Seamless Factory is good-- do a search on Google, I don't have my regular bookmarks available -- I haven't tried it, it's shareware. Reflection maps are also useful for texture and again, there are many free packets out there. Try out own free stuff first. I also recommend RDNA for their backdrops, they have two free ones. The Infinity Cove, and a cyclodrop with textures. I'm working on some fractal textures for that. Other than that Richabri's set prop sounds like one of the best deals ever-- rather inexpensive and will take any picture. Lots of people ask for comments in the galleries, its hard to comment when you don't know the level of experience of the artist or what especially they want comments on. Thank you for elaborating here. I hope I was of some help, I'm fairly new myself. Um, if you are working mainly with Posette and other strictly P4 characters, there is so very much free stuff out there, one rarely needs to texture, but a few more texs are always welcome. Emily

The best way to make textures (That I know of) is UVMapper. I'll attatch a link to download it. You can take a link from there to a tutorial page on how to create texture map templates. I hope that helps.thanks for all the help, guys!! you certainly pointed me in some good directions for me to go toward... the experimentation alone will definately keep me busy for a good while :) i do use uvmapper -- its how i drew the yellow areas onto the dress, and since i did it myself i thought i'd go all the way and make my own textures too. i was considering like a floral pattern -- and i've seen plenty of those in free stuff -- but trying to come up with one on my own was a totally different matter.
