On my lunchbreak I found this area along one of the walkin paths where it seems all these beautiful dragonflies are hangin out....When they sunlight hits them, they burst with this almost neon blue-green metallic coloring. I was just fascinated by them! Here's a few of the shots I took. If anyone has any advice on takin' pix of insects (which really interests me) please share...I'm all...er... eyes! L8r!

These leaves reminded me of a helipad cause the dragonflies would hover then land on 'em!

Looks to me like you are doing a fine job.

Great shots!!!! They are damselflies, by the way. When the wing are swept up, as opposed to out sideways, they are damsels.

neat shots and thanks SueO for the entomology lesson!

So that's what they are!....I have a few pics of these myself (although not anywhere near as good as these) and I wasn't sure what they were. These are great shots l8r!

I am, therefore I create.......

Hey Sue...thanx for indentifyin them...and to think I wanted to be an Entomogist when I was a kid HAHA!!! This was a fun learnin experience, Thanx for the feeback!...I Found out that even though my digicam has a 10x optical zoom, even that has limits!!! Going to start researching additional lenses now to add to my photo "arsenal"! Can't wait for my next bug hunt! L8r!

Nice pics. I spent 30 mins or more one day trying to snap some photos of a dragonfly. But He would not stay still long enough. --Randy R
