Hi This is the my first almost complete image. Ok I know it's yet another Gorilla. It is the first time I've managed to get the effect I wanted using spotlights. It's a pure poser image no post work though I could do some if needed, but there sill seems something wrong to me, do I need more plants? if so what? one or two look almost too pasted on but I don't know how to correct this. Anyway all thoughts welcome Thanks Dave

I think this is a wonderful image, and I wouldn't have felt anything was missing if you hadn't said anything!! If there's any one thing that's missing, possibly a large tree trunk. Either standings or fallen over (possible directly behind the gorilla). Or a scattering of leaves on the ground. Somthing that suggest trees. Just my 2 cents... Brian

I love the beams in the trees, the whole thing looks great, I don't think I would change anything.....

My only suggestion is a little more foilage at the intersection of the ground and the background plane. The horizontal line about 1/5 of the way up from the bottom is distracting. Other than that it is looking good. smerc

Hi yes I'd spotted the join i'll put some more bamboo in or something. I couldn't find a good fallen tree trunk that I liked but will keep looking. and sharren the beams in the trees in the back ground , well sorry I cant take any credit for them they are from runtimeDNA's cyclodrop 2 textures, the dappled effect on his sholders is mine tho' thanks for all your comments most helpful Dave

Wanderer: As smerc says, the background looks noticable. You might try layering the background. Check out rdna for "infinity cove". they have another backdrop but I can't remember it's name. also the background image resolution seems to low. also the light is coming from different directions Hey it's better than what I've done sofar as it is. good job.
