Looks like just what I've been hoping to find! I've been collecting urban bits and pieces for months--they can be difficult to find, as I'm sure you know. I'm working on two 'flavors' of city: "Urban Noire/Near Future/ Cyberpunk" and "Futuristic/SciFi." (Everytime a modeler asks for requests, I beg for the kind of debris I see on city streets, but I guess 'litter' is pretty uninteresting to lucky folks who can model anything at all! I want my streets to look photo-real, and they won't without a bit of litter) I'd have joined your site already, but Yahoo is having problems with their 'word recognition' field in the membership application and I can't get through the process tonight..... I'll try again tomorrow. And thank you for posting here!
AFA is Alverson Fantasy Art, or AFA prop department. I have several set construction kits. Most for free and useable in commercila renders. do a search for lalverson. or head out to www.n-link.com/~lalverosn/ and follow the downloads link on the side pane. you'll find; Urban kit 1 Far east 2 Sci-fi 1 LMC Carpathia kits. Have fun
Ian, With doors and porches, you might be able to get a row of brownstone dwellings, too. Spiderman doesn't have to websling between curtainwalls - there are plenty of older buildings around - and it might provide the right milieu for 20s gangsters and their molls. This isn't really something which interests me, but I can see how usable these buildings would be in adding atmosphere to an image. Carolly

yes! and i love those models. here in Chicago there are a lot of old buildings, and i'm working on doing what you've done, and building a few sets for my online comic, since a few of the sets will be re-used over and overThis site uses cookies to deliver the best experience. please join my yahoo group: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/poserurban/ i have been having a hard time finding other people modelling urban evironments in Poser and Bryce, so i started a group, to trade techniques, talk about which apps are better for modelling cities/buildings and adding the corresponding environmental effects, trading urban textures, signs and props, etc. p.s. i would also like to discuss the shortage of realistic 'sportswear' and urban clothes and creating them as figures for Poser
