I am going to be adding a poll to my site soon to figure it out. The 57' Thunderbird will likely be completed by the beginning of August. As some things have improved I will probably continue to create more classic cars afterall. Here is what I have under consideration. Any other ideas for cars that should be added to the Poll? 49' Mercury "Lead Sled" 48' Ford Wood (Surf boards and all) 64' Aston Martin DB5 (for obvious reasons) 57' Porsche 356 Speedster (My mother had a 57' coupe) For those that remember my 50-70 stance, Yes, I am delving into the late 40's for ideas now as well. Mainly because I personally like the 48' Woody better than the 49'-50'.

Rolls Royce Silver Cloud... Anything from the thirties with running boards (gangsters, molls and Daz's wonderful trenchcoat, animation possibilities abound there... Mini Cooper...

The last two are special in my book..

my personal preference is a 68 Camaro RS. The one with the hide-away headlights ... please, oh, please!!! :D ::sigh:: If I could just find a real one of those that I can afford, I'd love to buy if for my hubby. :) He was forced to sell his about 15 years ago.

Rendis ( ) posted Tue, 02 July 2002 at 11:56 AM

How about.. a) 1940 Lincoln Continental b) 1937 Cord SJ Phaeton (or coupe) c) Tucker d) 1928 Lincoln phaeton ( the Gangster's fave)

GROINGRINDER ( ) posted Tue, 02 July 2002 at 12:26 PM

Early 50's MG TC.

Mason ( ) posted Tue, 02 July 2002 at 12:33 PM

Would you consider some non classic cars for general use in commercial renders. I could really do with an elaborate modern squad car with 4 doors and detailed like your other stuff. I'd pay for it as well if it was in the $40 range sold through the store or at Daz. Your cars are awesome but I can't use them since they are marked non-commercial, which is your choice. I think they are worth paying for.

Roy G ( ) posted Tue, 02 July 2002 at 12:43 PM

From your list, I vote for the Woody wagon.

Not on your list, but something that I also like, is the 57 Corvette.

And I also like Rendis's idea for the 28 Lincoln.

Duddly ( ) posted Tue, 02 July 2002 at 1:24 PM

The list is getting big, cool. I will likely limit the poll to 20 or so so any of these or others with multiple picks will be more likely to make the list. To make things simpler how about a list like your favs ala "Top Five cars I would love to have". And yes, I am a Mustang fanatic but that doesn't automatically eliminate the Camaro. ;) Mason, Only the Freebees (ie. 57 Chevy and 69 Boss 302) are for personal use only. The 66 Mustangs, both the fastback and convertible I am selling through DAZ are available for commercial use. Any cars I make to sell can be used for commercial use, any cars I release for Freebees will be for personal use only. The 57' Tbird will be sold through DAZ and will be for commercial rendering use as well.

I second the Corvair--I'd also like to see some of the muscle cars of the 60s and 70s I'd like to see the '69 Pontiac LeMans and '70 GTO, '71 Chevy Malibu, '72 Oldsmobile 98 and 442, '79 (Blackbird) TransAm. Preferably in convertable versions. I'd also be interested in GM body shapes used by more than one manufacturer. Ones that could be modified by custom props to change the make and model.

ChromeTiger ( ) posted Tue, 02 July 2002 at 3:18 PM

Here's a couple not already mentioned: 1969 Chevelle Malibu 1970 Dodge Challenger 195? Chevy Impala (The big one, with the tail fins) 197? Plymouth Duster Just a few of my personal faves...I could go on practically forever.. CT

Wadus ( ) posted Tue, 02 July 2002 at 3:30 PM

Modern Muscle mania. A 1987 Buick Grand National.

atom123 ( ) posted Tue, 02 July 2002 at 4:50 PM

hey, why not those cars from the flintstones? cant get any more "classic" than that....

cherokee69 ( ) posted Tue, 02 July 2002 at 8:19 PM

Hey Duddky, These 2 defubatekt frin your list...49' Mercury "Lead Sled" 48' Ford Wood (Surf boards and all. Add to that a '68 Shelby (you can't do a Mustang without a Shelby). Cherokee

Duddly ( ) posted Tue, 02 July 2002 at 9:36 PM

AdR will be releasing a 67' Shelby within the next week or so. It will be available through DAZ. After that he will be releasing a 70' Cuda. This is now my list, so far. The pre-1940 and post-1970 cars will probably be dropped however. Though I loved Smokey & the Bandit and I really love the Cord those will probably be dropped strictly because of my self imposed time constraints. If I ever remove the limit my daughter is going to want a New Beetle. 28 Lincoln phaeton "Gangster car" 33 Dusenberg 37 Cord SJ Phaeton 40 Lincoln Continental 48 Tucker 48 Ford Woody 49 Mercury "Lead Sled" 55 VW Beetle 56 Lincoln Continental Mk II 57 Corvette 57 Porsche 356 Speedster 58 Chevy Impala 62 Lincoln Convertible 64 Aston Martin DB5 64 Corvair Spyder Convertible 67 Mercury Cougar 68 Camaro RS/SS 69 Chevelle 69 Pontiac GTO 69 Dodge Charger 70 Plymouth Duster 70 Chevy Nova 79 Pontiac TransAm

cherokee69 ( ) posted Tue, 02 July 2002 at 9:45 PM

WOW, I just reread my message and I have no idea where this came from....."defubatekt frin"..anyway, that should have been definately the 49' Mercury "Lead Sled" 48' Ford Wood (Surf boards and all) on your list.

Duddly ( ) posted Tue, 02 July 2002 at 10:27 PM

The Poll is up. I had to reduce to 10 cars,. I picked ten from what I thought would be the most popular and marketable, not what I necessarily like the best. Hope my selections don't offend anyone too much. I really appreciate everyones input.

Lyrra ( ) posted Tue, 02 July 2002 at 10:35 PM

I just want a classic VW Beetle, and splitscreen van :)

bikermouse ( ) posted Wed, 03 July 2002 at 3:49 AM

I've always liked the 55-57 Nomads for looks. 427 mid sixtys mach I for speed, pre seventys dodge for handling, geo metro for milage, and mercedes benz for comfort. Of course I've never gotten my hand on a Lamborgini - the old muras were at one time reported to be the best car in the world.

scrandall ( ) posted Wed, 03 July 2002 at 6:56 AM

A VW Van or early 60s VW Oscar Meyer Weinermobile:-)

Little_Dragon ( ) posted Wed, 03 July 2002 at 4:58 PM

Hope my selections don't offend anyone too much.

I am deeply offended that you didn't include options for the 1972 AMC Gremlin or 1958 Edsel.

Just kidding. :)

bikermouse ( ) posted Wed, 03 July 2002 at 6:43 PM

L.D. : Don't forget the Renault Dophine, the 1971 pinto, and the corvair station wagon.(He-He)
