Where is Bongo? He comes in here and talks about Vue and several of us buy it. Helps to get the Vue forum and Freestuff going(puting his ideas out there) It all comes to be and then he is gone. I would say he rode off into the sunset but as he says he lives in the south pacific I guess he surfed off into the sunset. HAHAHA Marge

heyas; there was a dispute between bongo and the forum moderators, and his membership was suspended. i think you can find him on the vue users group somewhere. (actually, i think the pfo could use a little info on vue, maybe i should send him their url... ;) )

I have suggested to him to join the Vue Onelist just after his suspension. I am not sure if he is there. If anyone want or need to communicate with him, I have his @mail addy....he's too busy making $$$s :) Bill

Suspended for a simple dispute??? Seems a bit harsh if you ask me. What was the dispute about? Lanover

Bongo is VERY passionate about Vue, to the point of being a bit paranoid about anyone who doesn't agree that Vue is the world's best program. He also preaches very loudly to anyone who will listen about the virtues of Vue. The heart of the matter is that he rubbed a lot of people the wrong way. He was asked to stop cross-posting all of his Vue messages to the other forums. A very nasty argument ensued, with all kinds of accusations in both directions, and Bongo was shown the door. Personally, I miss his enthusiasm, but I don't know if he'll ever be back.

I'd rather stay in my lane than lay in my stain!

heya; there was a thread.... somewhere about the dispute, in more detail. i dont feel comfortable talking about it since i wasn't involved, so all i know is hearsay; but small summed it up pretty well. :)

I couldn't say much too for I do not have the details. I have not visited other forums while it was happening. Thanks to Smallspace for the summary. Guess program like Vue which can lead to program "obsession" must be that good...huh!? Up and coming to a screen near by you : "A Vue To a Kill" (hum the theme fromm 007);) Nuff said before I get into 'shit'. Bill

On a divergent and completely unrelated subthread, but since Bill mentioned "A Vue To a Kill", my wife and I were extras on "A View To a Kill" back in 1984, in the scene where 007 is on the firetruck and it careens around a corner onto Market Street in San Francisco. We spent, along with about 50 others, AN ENTIRE cold night (October I believe it was) filming that 2 second scene (we were background passersby who stopped and pointed at an imaginary fire truck (they only ran it around the corner once and we don't think Roger Moore or Grace Jones was even on it) and as luck would have it we were in London when the movie premiered there (we didn't see it in the States) and took several friends to it after bragging about our "extra work" and, lo and behold, THEY CUT US OUT! Hah! We still hear about that to this day! Some "Vue"! (Back to A View to a VUE)
