Hi Dobbelcheese, Although I have created dozens of images, I have only posted a few here. When I do post an image, it is posted after "DAYS" of work, because I have a job, and can only do so much each day, and, each day, I try to accomplish what I can, with the time I have to devote to it. I try my best to mention, each and every artist who has contributed to my work, but after a week or two, sometimes I forget someone. I don't think anyone really means to leave anyone out, it is just that I think, most of us know,THAT, we aren't and don't create, all the models, we use, we just "create" what we feel at the moment, using those models, and really don't expect to be credited for them. It may just be a "Brain Fart" at the moment that we are uploading, that we forget to say that this model is made by...so and so.....and that model was made by so and so, and etc. and etc.? Maybe I am wrong, but....this is how I feel about it, and I don't think anyone does this to deliberatly "fool" anyone. (: Genny
It takes rather long for me to complete pictures too. In fact few months. Since I'm beginner I assume some people create models and scenes much faster than us. Nevertheless, time is time and work is work (even if this is just a hobby!). And whoever shares free stuff - be it a fast skilled pro or a bit slower beginner - has spent time and worked for it. I guess a contributor is happy for the fact alone that someone is interested enough to use their stuff. I see point in your comment too, genny. I just have some principles. Maybe I take them for granted with no actual justification. Must face the fact they're not universal...
I am not at all of specialist of that subject. But I think even for free stuff, we would mention the authors of objects, materials, textures,atmospheres,... if we have forgotten the author we should mention "I can't remember..." . Maybe it's not the official rule, but is an "honour" rule. It's very difficult to make comments on a picture if we don't know exactly what work has done the author : - modeling - texturing - composition The comment should depend on the work which has been done. If the artist has "only" imported some poser in Vue , it's not the same as if he has modeled the character before. I think the author of the free stuff, seeing his/her name on lot of images in credits, can be proud of his/her work; that's an important point we should not forget. ;=) Yves

All you vuers and whoever reading this, couldn't you include the name of the authors of models used in your pictures in your picture descriptions? I believe most people do so, but not all, not always. I don't know which disgusts me more; 1 ) people leaving the helping hands mentioned, which results them not getting their deserved credit. 2 ) me praising some magnificent work for example of its great models.. and later realising that diligent artist just loaded a nice volumetric atmosphere and enjoyed all the 10s and hey-ho wow wows. I can live with that, but don't necessarily want to participate on the praises. I don't object free stuff! I need and use them myself.
