shadowcat if you're in the US, you may want to check into AT&T. They did just raise their price from &7.00 to $14.95USD/month but that includes 6 email addresses (10mb mailbox) & 60 megs of web space & they do allow outside linking of images or files. the only drawback being that the webspace is broken up into 6 individual blocks of 10 megs each (1 for each email addy) so you couldn't upload anything over that size but for a series of smaller files it's worked perfectly for me. also AFAIK they have no bandwidth limits (or at least I haven't found one yet :-) & I've been hosting Blackhearteds' Angelyn & Ironbears' Dangerous Curves in addition to my own freebies there.
as much as I hate to sound like an AT&T pimp :-) the strongest recommendation I can give is on their reliability. In just over a year I've only had 1 occasion where I couldn't logon (& tht lasted less than an hour) & only 6 unscheduled disconnections & I've never been shut out on FTP access to my files. connect speeds for a dial up are excellent too... usually in the 46-48K range

Cyberwings may be useful. Unfortunately, they are moving their servers over the next few days, so there is a bit of downtime right now. They are quite inexpensive, but I can't answer on reliability yet.Attached Link: http://ussarchangel.topcities.com http://ussavenger.topcities.com
you could take a look at http://www.topcities.com and look over their offerings which are quite reasonable even the "I want it all" plan which has an 11 gig bandwith is only $30 a month :-)Why shouldn't speech be free? Very little of it is worth anything.

I don't know what the heck is going on with my web space. I upload, then next day they're gone. Today I went to upload for the 3rd time and I get this message: "Our World has recently experienced some technical difficulties. Some pages are no longer accessible, or may not contain edits you may have made recently. We regret any inconvenience this has caused, and apologize." One of the reasons I have been sticking with compuserve is the 20 mb webspace. I now suspect that what they really mean is 20 mb webspace as long as no one wants to look at your stuff. I appears that they now delete files that are accessed to many times, then say "technical difficulties" or "we don't know what happened". AOL (same company BTW) did the same thing just before I canceled my service. Well, I'll try one more time to upload tonight, after that I'll be shopping for a new ISP & web space. If you need Thip's stuff & don't want to risk the download (again) then give to your e-mail address so I can mail them.
