here's another pic from the Maya Poser plugin, it's a render test for the native bump map and transparencies. the good news is that these are how the textures (bump and transparencies) open directly into maya. No Tweaking required, no tracking down and inverting transparencies. and with the native .bum support, you don't have to try and track down a converted bump map. enjoy, and we'll keep putting more news and information on the website www.reiss-studio.com

Maya isn't known for it's built in rendering. Most people who use it render using Renderman.

Good to see Poser "shaking hands" with yet another high-end app! :-) I guess with the Alias/Wavefront OBJ compatibility between the two programs it's a little surprising that this plugin wasn't implemented first. Anyway, way to go Kupa and the team!! :-) Dave :-)

Davidm, Thanks! We're excited about it too. wolf, we should have some beta sites using the other renderers soon. Just FYI, there are a lot of special features in the maya renderer too, which you might not be able to see here. tons of custom utility nodes, particles, optical effects, paint effects, and sampler info nodes give you a tone of control for custom shaders unavailable in poser's renderer. Some of our beta sites should have cool renders soon
