PhiFactory is a utility for creating and editing .phi files for Poser. It displays the file as a tree structure so it's easy to see how the different sections interact. Unique to PhiFactory is it's ability to extract a .phi file from a .cr2 file. This includes correctly numbering the nodes, extracting the original rotations, extracting curve parameters for the nodes and re-creating the IK chains. You can edit the new .phi directly in PhiFactory or export it as a text file for use in Poser.

Thanks, Bushi. This should be a big help in learning how everything works to build new figures.

Now THIS seems much less intimidating! Thanks Bushi!

Bushi you've made many people happy! Thanks.

I have tried opening cr2's with this and get "Invalid Level" errors with every file I try to open. Also, I can not save as a cr2 file. Just trying to help as a "beta tester" Thanks for all your great work, Bushi wyrwulf

Thanks for all your kind comments. I've programmed for years both on for myself and professionally but had let it slip for the last couple of years. Slipping back into Delphi was like putting on a good pair of gloves. Glad you like it. I have some ideas for updates but suggestions would certainly be entertained. Wyrwulf - No, that's fine. I need to hear if there are problems. Can you give some examples of .cr2s you're having problems with. I tried it with just about all the P4 models, several P3 and P2 models, and many of my own as I test it. I also tried it on 3 different PCs. I don't think that there are any .DLLs other then the standard WIN95/98 .DLLs to run successfully so at the moment it's a mystery. Give me some feedback on the .cr2s you've tried. Thanks!

wyrwulf ( ) posted Sun, 27 February 2000 at 12:35 AM

I just tried it again. I downloaded the program again. I have tried to open several cr2's both original Poser4 and "aftermarket" I get an invalid level error on everyone I try to open. The files open after I clear the error message, but I haven't tried doing anything more. I am on a PC with Win98 SE, running Poser 4 with the latest patch. I don't get any missing dll warnings, just the invalid level error.

Please see my post above for an image cap of the error I, and I believe wyrwulf are getting.

bushi ( ) posted Sun, 27 February 2000 at 2:35 AM

Yup, same error. I detailed the solution as an answer to your post. The capsule version is to use the 'Phi From Cr2' button to load the .cr2 you want to convert. Thanks for your feedback!
