Subject: Converting LWO's

Does anyone know of a program that can change a LWO to something that is more suitable for Bryce

Rhino will do it as well as proggies like Polytrans. What's wrong with .lwo , Bryce uses them just fine. You may have to re-texture them but hey.

all I can say is, don't use crossroads, it totally deforms any object I've tried to convert so far

actually, I don't have any trouble using LWOs in Bryce.

Bryce 4 will import .LWO's. But (in my experience) it won't obey Lightwave texture mapping instructions that refer to graphics files, and it won't obey Lightwave "bones" (that is Lightwave's equivalent of some of the functions of Poser).

I find it slightly odd that I am the one to answer my own question but hey, there's nothing wrong with that. 3dWin is great, it translates anything.
