Hi, I posted a few days ago with this problem and got several suggestions none of which solved the problem.....I created this object using Anim8or ( a freebie modelling program on the net) and when it renders some of the faces on the front turn black. I've tried everything, UVMapper, different import options in Poser, using TwoFace, etc. I have Caligari Truespace 4.2 but don't know how to use it. Is there someway I can fix this object so it can be texture mapped and not render black? Help appreciated, Krel

Hi Krel I have both Anim8or and Truespace 4. Would it be possible for you to email me the file so I can test it on my system? PhilC pcooke@mis.net

This IMHO should be one of the things that should be fixed in the patch as it never happened in Poser3 renders, Slap if it is fixed :o) try importi ng it back into Anim8or then exporting again thats how I fix them.......Steve

Did you use "split by orientation" when mapping the object in UVMapper? If so, I'm guessing that the winding order is reversed for some of the facets (UVMapper uses the winding order to determine which direction a facet is facing. Try using "split by position" instead (with an offset of 0) and I think it will solve the problem. If not, let me know and I can take a look at the model for you. Hope this helps, Steve
