Subject: Will Poser 5 have..... ??????

A better library system? scrolling through Poser 4's rollup is a pain in the ring! especially if you need something you think is at the bottom of a 230 pose folder library and you open the wrong folder!!!! ,it's start from the top again. Not to mention the hair you can't find is in props or figures libraries. Subfolders too are definitely on the wish list. Perhaps too someone can recommend a band-aid for my frustrations in the meantime. Tommy. :-(

I believe there is a small program called Pboost in the MP here at rosity that may ease your pain :) I think its by Hogwarden

I also find it handy to pop into Yarp's P3d0 Explorer to browse the folder thumbnails when I'm uncertain of a file's location... Faster than Poser for searching, and has a Windows-Explorer-type Folder navagation... Works really well at moving files and re-organizing poser's Library folders, too!

Long live cascading menus! Death to scrolling menus!!! And while there at it how about killing that default leg IK always on bug? And how about making ALL an objects properties available by right clicking on its title in the Parameters Pallet? And I want to be able to delete ALL the lights at once! I dont want a lot of new gimmicks, I just want all those productivity bottle necks fixed.

Here's a vote for PBooost. You can organize your Poser libraries into Banks which allows you to cut down and better organize what's in any given section. I've had the pleasure of working with Hogwarden (Howard) the author. I love PBooost. Buy it. Then Howard will owe me yet another ale. If I can ever afford to visit him in Great Britain! Here's a link to one of many threads on PBooost.

Well guys I did D/L P3DO and you are on the ball, absolutely brilliant!, is all I can say. Still exploring its features and help files but already got the hang of it. The tutorial link on PBoost is a 404 Ron, I'll check the MP to find out more and yes Les a turn off all the lights switch is desperately needed. Tommy.

Hmm I don't know what happened to that tutorial. I assumed the link was still good. I'll IM hogwarden about this.

Sorry, everyone! I re-jigged the Tutorials a couple of weeks ago so that old link is... well, old. Try this one for size...

Hah, well now you'll remember to keep your "cheerleaders" up to date!

Maybe I missed it here in the post but where can I find P3DO?

leather-guy ( ) posted Thu, 11 July 2002 at 7:03 AM

There's a link in FreeStuff. Also a link to the Free compaibility tester for PBoost. (My computer failed it, or I'd be a PBoost-er, too.) G Not having used it, I have to go on other folks descriptions & it really sounds great! But I know I'd still have LOTS of use for P3d0 also.

It's a funny one, this XP/PBooost malarchy. Couple of irons in the fire of sorting out the problem if that makes any sense! In interesting point, which confounds me, is that all the great customer feedback I've had is from XP users who can't switch banks while Poser is running... I guess PBooost still has it's uses...! H:)

In my opinion, it's best to have a "Poser Toolkit." In that toolkit you'd have tools such as: 1.) PBooost 2.) P3DO Explorer 3.) MAT Pose Edit 4.) Morph Manager 5.) Tailor 6.) Mover 7.) UV Mapper You can fill in some more, I bet!
