THE PLACE FOR ALL THINGS BRYCE - GOT A PROBLEM? YOU'VE COME TO THE RIGHT PLACE

Subject: Making a laboratory scene...

...to be honest, I don't know the first thing about modeling...I can make a box in Byce, and that's about all the extent of my knowledge (got to start somewhere, eh?). I'm making a real 3d movie...using Chroma-Keyed characters on backdrops from Bryce. Problem is, for one backdrop I don't know where to begin. The scene takes place in a laboratory (for common scientists and all). I know that I need test-tubes, beakers, microscopes, and other misc equipment, but I have no good "Direct Links" to certain sites. I have checked many, and on occasion found a good model to use...but does anyone know out there where I can find a lab scene that has been already done, or the necessary downloads for one? Anything would help! Thanks in advance!!! :) -Cire

seems like I saw one at 3d cafe a long time ago under "environments" or something, but I can't find that category now...there was also a beach house and an attic.

Aye, everything you need for a laboratory is on the second Bryce 4 disk, here's a sample of the objects, a scene I was playing with when I first started Bryce 4... No post, except for the "chain" shadow holding up the light, which I totally forgot about!

Oh yeah, I think the screwdriver never quite landed, either. (laughs at self)

a couple of years ago I downloaded a scene in 3DS format called 'raysranch'. Unfortunately, there's no read-me file with it, and I can't remember where I got it from. Point is... I recall this same guy had a rather nice laboratory scene that was also free to download. Does this ring a bell with anyone? If so, you might be able to help me update my files and help CireNJ get his lab at the same time.

oh shoot... I just re-read haloedrain's post, and I'm pretty sure that's the same thing I was thinking about... It was so long ago and I've slept since then.

There is also a lot of stuff on the B4 application CD, that doesn't install with B4, may not be as much as the Content CD, but I remember there are some nice things there.

Yes, I remember the part on the 3d cafe as well... If any of you won't mind...might you be willing to send me some of those objects that came with your Bryce? Living2Laff58@aol.com if you want to....I would greatly appreciate it!!! :)

Ummmm...if you bought Bryce you should have those disks yourself.

<< If any of you won't mind...might you be willing to send me some of those objects that came with your Bryce? >> That would be a violation of the license agreement. If your using the free version of B3, that's one of the short comings of getting something for free. If your using an illegal copy, you won't find much sympathy in the Bryce community.

It's my friend's CD of Bryce4...he gave it to me before he left for college, said that he was converting to something else. I'll give him a call.

Aye, I see where you are coming from, CireNJ. Nobody was really accusing you of being anything, but from my POV images which contain other people's stuff are kinda lame, that's why I never post them. Then again, a movie producer doesn't make everything in his movies by hand, either, but you know what I'm getting at? The image above is NOT in my gallery for a reason... I didn't make any of the props in it, they were just on the Bryce disks for people like us to use as a learning tool. Good luck to you...
