E-on software is pleased to announce the immediate availability of Vue d'Esprit 4.1.

The update from Vue d'Esprit 4 to Vue d'Esprit 4.1 is free of charge and can be downloaded from e-on software's website here.

New features in Vue 4.1 are:

  • LightWave 6+ LWO2 file format import.
  • Cinema 4D terrain exports.
  • Direct static Poser scene imports on Mac.
  • TrueSpace 5 file format import.

I hope you enjoy the upgrade!
Best regards,
Steve Bell.

Just got the update and it does work great so far. My only problem (as I switched from 4.03) is that there are so many little things that have been corrected that the materials I have on some older scenes do not behave at all the same way as before, especially for mixed materials. Updating the materials is a small price to pay though, as the results are much better than the older version.

Just in time for my Birthday! Now what are you going to do about Truespace 6 imports? (don't ya' just hate it when companies keep updating their software one version ahead of you?) :) -SMT

I'd rather stay in my lane than lay in my stain!

@snallspace LOL my thoughts, exactly. :D I have to say, though, that I am not too happy with Caligari about their release policy. the best trueSpace version to date is still V4.1, IMO. and that works fine with Vue 4 . . . ;) ta, -Sascha.rb

err, and that was smallspace. not snallspace. blame this bloody "ergonomic" keyboard, if you may. ;) .rb

Hmm, I think I will apply this patch as soon as the 9 megs are downloaded. Hey Im still on 56K (I Know, Im sorry for myself...). Dont have many mixed mats, so I hope it wont "blow" my current scene... Anyhow, Im curious on the c4d exports...
