Maybe you need to refresh the page? I checked it and it is there....Sharen On the right side of the page, the very right

Sue88 ( ) posted Sun, 14 July 2002 at 6:54 AM

Phily, You need to scroll down and it's right under the park bench. As Sharen said, you might have to refresh the page to get the updated page in your browser. I hope you'll find it! :)

Shatron This is what I see. See the park bench, no rocking chair, am I going nuts? :0P

Philywebrider ( ) posted Sun, 14 July 2002 at 7:11 AM

Sharen I want to let you know you have some great products. I tried other areas on your site trying to find the chair, and I muct say you have some really exellent items. I do not know what I'm doing wrong. Steve

c1rcle ( ) posted Sun, 14 July 2002 at 7:14 AM

Philly you need to refresh your webcache, that's an old version of the page you're looking at, just hit F5 and you'll see the chair it's next to the boat. Rob

Here's how the web page looks now. There's a little circular arrow in the top toolbar in AOL that says "Reload". Just push this button and it will refresh the page for you. Or do what c1rcle said :) .

c1rcle ( ) posted Sun, 14 July 2002 at 7:23 AM

I just remembered F5 don't always work with AOHell, it works ok with nutscrape and internet exploder tho :) Rob

C1rcle, LOL! :-D

Philywebrider ( ) posted Sun, 14 July 2002 at 7:29 AM

Thanks everyone. Sue I did push the button you indicate, but nothing happened. c1rcle's suggustion of f5 did the job. Again, thanks every one for your patience. Everything works, got the chair. :0) steve

/me bows to the audience, I have my moments :) I had AOl till a couple of months ago decided to go Broadband at last & surprise surprise it's just as much of a pain as AOL. Rob

Thank you again Sharen and Mike! That is a really beautiful model, and the texture is just perfect! :-) "Yep, reckon I'll be heading out to the ol' porch, smokin' my baccy and just rockin' my cares away..." (Promptly coughs and falls off chair) "...disgusting habit smoking! Glad I don't do it!" ;-) Dave :-)

SAMS3D ( ) posted Sun, 14 July 2002 at 8:21 AM

Thanks everyone, and Steve I am glad you were able to get there. Sharen

quixote ( ) posted Sun, 14 July 2002 at 12:12 PM

Well, that's the only kind of rocker I'll ever be. Thanks for reminding me Sharen :-) Seriously, it looks beautiful. I get a 404, must be the frantic crowds. I'll get it later. Cheers, Q

Nice model Sharen While there I looked at your Misc free models files - some nice models there.

terminusnord ( ) posted Sun, 14 July 2002 at 2:25 PM

Is that what people with AOL really see (Philywebrider's screenshot)????????????????
If it is, it sure explains a lot. I get complaints all the time from AOL users that my site is missing things, new links aren't there, graphics are distorted, the style sheets are laid out correctly, etc.. now I know why--the AOL browser is a P.o.S.! I'm going to ignore all the website feedback I get from AOL users from now on. This was very enlightening. -Adam

SAMS3D ( ) posted Sun, 14 July 2002 at 3:31 PM

LOL, I love rocking chairs, wish I had one like that, but then Mike said I would never get out of it....glad you all like the chair and bknoh I am glad you like your truck, should be there now. Sharen

Sue88 ( ) posted Sun, 14 July 2002 at 3:47 PM

Terminusnord, Well, I don't know, we have AOL and the web page displays just fine. I've just compared it with Internet Explorer and they look identical... Sue

Philywebrider ( ) posted Sun, 14 July 2002 at 4:22 PM

Terminusnord "Philly you need to refresh your webcache, that's an old version of the page you're looking at..." Apparently that was the way the page looked a one time, before changes were made. Why I got the old image is another story, one I can't answer. brcause I never had it happen before. It could be the browser, but I wouldn't be to quick to write lay everything at AOL's doorstep. ;o)

bikermouse ( ) posted Mon, 15 July 2002 at 1:58 AM

Sharen, I love rocking chairs. My grandma had some on her front porch when I was growing up. At night I'd rock and drink root beer with the family during the evening, listen to the crickets and watch the stars. - Thanks, bikermouse

terminusnord ( ) posted Mon, 15 July 2002 at 1:13 PM

Philly.. whether or not that was the way the site once looked is not really the issue; the problem is that your AOL browser was hanging on to that version of Sams3D far too long. This is the problem I encounter with AOL users a lot, they email me about things on certain pages of my site, and I'm sitting here thinking "what the? I removed that item [for sale] from the site over a week ago.. why are these people still seeing it?" I get the impression too that it's not just the AOL browser on the end user machine that is the problem. I think AOL caches a lot of stuff at the ISP server level, using proxy servers. I think they also reduce quality of web graphics dynamically to make them download quicker. This last feature can be disabled (i think) but it's turned ON by default, causing lots of problems. The end result is that I get complaints and suggestions for improvement to my site that are not necessary, they are solely the byproduct of AOL messing with what their users see. -Adam
