Subject: Whaaaaaaa! Where did all the renderosibees go?

Were they bad? Were they dancing nude? Have they been banished? :)

Seems they were banished to the OT forum :( Guess they weren't Poser Forum material.... or so somebody thought....

Apparently they were crowding out the warez requests and locked threads about Ronknights? I guess that's what you get for trying to brighten this place up a little. Pathetic. Truly pathetic. I think someone has over-stepped themselves on this one. I guess I know now why Renderosity never had a mascot...

pokeydots ( ) posted Sun, 14 July 2002 at 8:40 PM

Geesh this was the most fun I had here :( How can renderosibee bee Off Topic? All of my pics were rendered in poser, and all the items used were poser! Oh well........ pokeydots walks away, tears, hitting the floor, shaking her head :o(

I guess it's my fault for making the remark about crowding out the forum...sorry. Or maybee someone one complained. Or maybee a spider lurks about. But it was such fun!

BellaMorte ( ) posted Sun, 14 July 2002 at 9:28 PM

Bring Renderosibee back!!! Bring Renderosibee Back!!! Bring Renderosibee Back!!! I was enjoying all of the images you guys were creating :). Definitely a lot more fun than some of the other postings

whoopdat ( ) posted Sun, 14 July 2002 at 9:49 PM

Maybe I'm just playing the devil's advocate, but it seems like this forum is more for questions and help and techniques (and TOS violating threads that aren't supposed to be here, like flame wars and downright illegal things) and so on more than it is for the never-ending adventures of one character or another. It's not like they were deleted, just moved to somewhere one of the mods deemed more appropriate. And before anyone points a finger, jokingly or otherwise, I've been pretty much ignoring all of those threads, but the title of this one left me wondering, especially since I noticed several threads missing.

ChuckEvans ( ) posted Sun, 14 July 2002 at 10:08 PM

Well, I don't want to get in a protracted debate. Those days are over for me. But, in defense of the threads, I can say they seemed like they belonged in the Poser Forum more than any other forum. The "lead-in" to the forum reads: "Poser (5,165 new messages) [Hide this Forum] Moderators: JeffH, Lyrra, bushi, smerc Post your Poser related messages here" Nothing about what can and can't be here...just Poser in general. If things were being done strictly by the "book", lots of threads here should be moved to the Poser Technical forum. Even this thread, I suppose, should be moved out. But some admin made the decision. It's not really that important. Certainly not worth much more time than I'm spending on this post. I'm not going to go complain about it. They're running the forum and I assume they were chosen to do so because they exercise good judgement. I don't quite understand, but I'm not in their shoes, either. Message671414.jpg

Gee, I never post my images since I am very intimidated by the members here. I love humor, though, so this was just up my alley, so I was brave and posted one and had another almost done. Now it has been moved away and I will continue feeling intimidated. Everyone needs a laugh now and then and it would have died down, I am sure, in a few days. It seemed so harmless. The images were funny, but that takes Poser talent, too. I understand, in principle, but I am hurt none the less. Diane

SnowSultan ( ) posted Mon, 15 July 2002 at 12:10 AM

Maybe Renderosity could create a forum just for him, or for any other ongoing character-themed images that members create (like Mr. Fluffers, etc). Heaven knows we've got forums for just about everything else here already. :) SnowS Hoping his pictures are worth 1001 words.

May bee they should rename that forum to read the Oh Bee forum.

quixote ( ) posted Mon, 15 July 2002 at 2:06 AM

Bright side is, they're all together now. Diane: don't be intimidated by this, please. I don't know what were the reasons behind the decision, but one thing I'm very sure of, they don't want to intimidate anybody. A note as to why they took their decision would have been nice, but that's how it goes sometimes. Life goes on. We can still laugh. That bee restored us. Now we have a good reason to go to the OT forum. Take care all, Q

I'm sniff gonna miss the little guy. when I heard I just posted an unfinished pict in the ot forum rather than spend the time I was gonna spend on it. Oh well, whatcha gonna do? so sad . . .

c1rcle ( ) posted Mon, 15 July 2002 at 3:18 AM

Renderosibee, Wannabee & Bumbleybee will live to fight another day, you can count on that ;) Rob

genny ( ) posted Mon, 15 July 2002 at 6:55 AM

YESSSSSS........the Renderosibee is Alive and well, he has just moved. (: I just want to say, that I can't ever remember having so much fun on the forum as I have in the last few days. Sadly, I have to go back to work tonight, (I was on Vacation)but carry on, you worker Renderosibee's. I may not have time to create any new images, but I will continue to follow the saga. Genny

x2000 ( ) posted Mon, 15 July 2002 at 7:28 AM

I just posted my official protest in the thread Pokeydots started in the Forum News And Team Contact forum, but I just want to say to all of you that I'm immensely gratified and flattered that you have become so fond of my creation. While I'm highly insulted by the actions of the PTB in this matter, I'm thrilled that some of you are continuing to post new Renderosibee pics in the OT forum. I really do enjoy them, and I'd hate this unfortunate incident to spoil our fun. I'm going to be rather busy with other projects for a while, so I won't be online as much, but I guarantee you I WILL be reading each and every R-bee thread, and will post more myself as soon as I get the time to whip something up. KEEP 'EM COMING!:)

JeffH ( ) posted Mon, 15 July 2002 at 9:02 AM

I'll repeat what I said in the other thread: I moved the Bee posts because the the learning posts and requests for help were being buried by them. OT is the best place for that kind of thing IMO. -JeffH.

joffry ( ) posted Mon, 15 July 2002 at 9:04 AM

And I want to say thank u for making him for us. I haven't enjoyed myself so much in a long time. Did you notice that with all the threads that were going, noT a cross word, no digs, nothing. It was just pure POSER!@!! yes, it was not OT it was poser. Look how many differ. pictures and scenes and models and light effects. To me it was poser, as I'm sure, if I woulda asked how something was done, I would have gotten an answer. So after a long day out fishing with my husb. came home, found out Sams3d came out with the truck, ran right up there and got it, made my first thingy with the bee and truck and yes, brought out VooeyDooey again, came over here and found we were banished. Hmm, was not happy. Just goes to show ya, you can bitch and moan and rant and rave and rank on people and call names and all is ok, have a little fun, hurt no-one (I guarantee, I did not poke Rosi''bee with that pin) and you are gone.. So,, how about making us something else to play with? PRETTY PLEASE!!!..

Allen9 ( ) posted Mon, 15 July 2002 at 1:14 PM

OK, so NOW where do we go to find ACTUAL "OT" topics, since the FORMER "OT" forum is now FLOODED with these bee things?? Maybe there should be a place just for things like this - sort of like the renderwars forum? A place for ongoing character series type stuff that would be home to bees, pink ponies, purple whatevers & so forth? MODS? Are y'all home?

c1rcle ( ) posted Mon, 15 July 2002 at 1:26 PM

only kidding guys/girls :) you do a great job most of the time & a hard one too, I've done it myself for a while on IRC so I know the flak you get, I think Allen is right tho, how about a renderwars type forum? Renderosibee needs a proper home. Rob

ChuckEvans ( ) posted Mon, 15 July 2002 at 1:31 PM

Well, Allen9, if you are looking for OT subjects, try the Poser forum...today you can find 2 separate stories about the stock market there.

c1rcle ( ) posted Mon, 15 July 2002 at 1:39 PM

yeah I wonder how long they'll stay there? no-one is attacking anyone yet :) maybe the mods are all out working or sleeping. Rob

hello everyone! sorry i am so late to the bee-heading...errr... i mean party... i think i've a solution for you all... now, we were hoping to make a 'big announcement' a bit later on but you guys took the bee and ran with it and this has evolved into it's own thing too quickly for us to implement our plans... the renderosibee is going to be a 'regular' feature within Renderosity magazine... *insert sound of happy buzzing, clapping and other happy noises* what we had in mind was to launch him in issue 3 and then create some 'contests' and 'events' for fellow bee-lievers ... and then select one of the resulting 'stories' to publish in the next issue of the magasine... to keep the bee-saga going. so... let's all move the bee--utiful images-and-posts there, to the Magazine Interact Forum and keep Bee-ing creative!
