I am not sure how to do the following...maybe someone could give me an idea.... I want to have a character fastdraw a gun... I currently have the gun parented to the hip..I want to have a single scene where the character is running, then grabs the gun and shoots. I have considered having two scenes..one running and the other with drawing and firing (changing the parent to the hand in the second scene...however, it would be difficult to make it seemless between the two, and I would like just one camera scene..which makes it easier to import into Lightwave for rendering. you can contact me at lwanmtr@earthlink.net Thanx in advance.

heyas; you can't change a prop's parent in the middle of an animation. you'd have to do it in two scenes, as you said. the other alternative is to have two guns, one parented to the hip, and the other to the hand. have the hand gun invisible during the first portion of the animation, then switch visibility when the hand grasps the weapon. that is... i think you can change visibility in the midst of an animation. if not in poser, then surely in lightwave.

Hmm...I actually hadn't though of that....I'll just have to make sure that both guns are lined up perfect at the point of reversing the object dissolves in Lightwave. Thanx :)
