Subject: Can Bryce 5 read bryce 4?

I have gotten some freebies that are made in bryce 4 and I tried to import some of those into bryce 5 and it couldnt be read and I was wondering why? Any ideas?

Yes bryce5 ,can read bryce 4,3,2 versions

What's the format? .OBP's need to be loaded at the bottom of the Objects Preset window. .Mat's from the Texture Presets and .BRT's from the DTE. .br4's files from Edit>Open.

On loading a .br4 or earlier file, you need to go to file..open and use the pull down box to select your previous version. I have a directory filled with .br3 and .br4 files and they don't show on the file open screen unless I pull down the box and click on the version. Once done, you can save as a .br5. Its worth the time to do that.
