I exported a character from poser 3 to other 3d app like truespace, 3dsmax, lightwave.... and perform "polygon reduction" on it, the model changes to a polygon-breaking monster and the textures are torn......... please help me..........

I am assuming that the tearing is taking place when you bring the "polygon-reduced" model back into Poser. I know that the texture maps are strongly tied to the polygons that define the object. You will need to generate a new UV map (UVmapper utility can do this for you). I believe that you will need to create a new geometery entry in Poser so that Poser knows what part goes with each set of polygons. I cann't help much in this department. I do know that reducing the polygon count is a lot like making a new character. There should be some tutorials around that describe the process of bringing a new Poser model to life. Good luck Gary
