Subject: saving textured object doesn't save texture path?

I imported some untextured models, applied materials to them in Vue, then saved them to my library so they'd be all ready to go when I want to use them. When I load the textured object, however, I get "can't find" errors anytime an image is part of the texturing and I have to browse to where it is for it to load. All of the maps are within Vue's folder structure (i.e. I'm not applying from all over my drive). In fact, all were applied from my materials settings and I didn't get any errors when I applied them, only when I open the saved object. So am I missing something here? How do I get Vue to save objects that remember where the image maps are? I'm using the 4.1 update (did full update, not incremental) if that's relevant.

I have just tried once more for you and had no problem. This is what I did: 1.)I loaded a totally unmapped OBJ called "bench.OBJ" from C:unzippedbench folder. 2.)I mapped it with wood.jpg which is in my Vue/bitmaps/wood folder 3.)Saved the bench as "bench.vob" in the Vueobjectsfourniture folder. 4.)Closed Vue 5.)Re-opened Vue with a new scene 6.)Called back "bench.vob" and it came with all its mapping. Have you done something different? It always works great this way. ??? :-)Guitta

Did you by any chance move or change a directory name of the materials? It doesn't matter where the materials are on your hd, as long as they are in the same spot they were when you applied them. I once was using custom textures and decided to move them to a different directory for quick access. Well I had to repoint every texture to the new directory and re save the .vob. :)
