I haven't posted in a while, so here goes. These were all shot about 3 weeks ago. This was once some kind of opening to the Applegate Grain Company in Pensacola. Long since gone, it's now a warehouse. Michelle's pic a few posts below reminded me of this one.

All that's left of an original painted sign on the wall of the building.

This is a shot of a window of from the oldest house in Pensacola. The blue curtain blended well with the sky reflection.

This is where the window shot came from. Not a big house, but still the oldest one there.

Well worn, very old sidewalk from the same area. This has been through countless hurricanes, and God only knows what else.

A shrimp boat from the Joe Patti Seafood Company, which was a great photo opportunity inside and out. They export world wide. Check your seafood labels - you may have already eaten a catch from this boat! I may later on do a separate thread on this place. It's an amazing scene!

Great photos, I like 3 for its angle and 6 for its simplicity

Eggiwegs! I would like... to smash them!

I like the juxtaposition of the flowers which looks delicate & welcoming with the closed off entrance in one, makes for an interesting shot. Looks like some nice texture there, even some rust! Three is cool the curtain does work well with the sky, nice colour in this one. I love 5, it might be a good one for duo or b&w? The reflection in 6 is beautiful, great contrasts in that one. I think there's just a bit too much of the gaussian blur in 4, it's making my eyes go funny!!

Great shots, all of them, Marshall! The contrast, clarity and sharpness of #6 is a killer. Nice angle/POV and I agree on the reflection of #3. And I love #5 just because. :-) (*

Neat! #6 would be fun to play with using some watercolor effects.

Misha, that looks like something an old sailor would have hung, perhaps somewhat dusty and slanted, on the wall in his office, which would be filled with mementoes of his sailing career. Cool. And Bev, since the gaussian blur was on a secondary layer, and the original lines & edges were still there, I was hoping it wouldn't be too overpowering, but I guess it's all in the eyes of the beholder. And since you asked it got my curiosity, so I did a B&W of the sidewalk, with a crop to give a closer look. Hope you made it back here to see it! I'm always amazed how when something is posted, no matter who did the work, so many people here who really know what they are talking about can have so many different takes on it all. Anyways, I took these, and some others of that old house, just walking around having a good time. Thanks for all the feedback from all.

Oh I like this! All the texture & detail really stands out but at the same time it has a more unified feeling as a whole, it adds a nice mood to the image too. Thanks for doing that ; )

Old hung sailor? ;-) Glad you don't mind me playing with your original. That's what the Forum is all about. Feel free to experiment with anything I post.
