definately not gettin boring.. boring would be the same item ten times over with 70 texture maps.. this series is great.. helps to make things seem more real.. one of the things I've noticed about my renders is the lack of just well.. 'stuff' lying about.. which kinda gives them a severe lack of realism :D keep up the good work!!! Dolph.

Your trash items are really cool, I'm already getting some great ideas for a few alley scenes. Keep up the good work! Maybe another nice trash item would be a candy-wrapper from a snickers bar or something. And of course used and squashed chewing gum would be good :) And maybe a dirty oil barrel.

Strange with the underscores. The site isn't new and have worked before. Anyway, the files have been moved to a better server now. Trash, boring?! Not a chance--boring is a spick+span CG sidewalk ending at a perfectly clean CG wall: it just doesn't look like anything living has ever visited the place. It's not just humans who are messy, either. If you hike into virgin wilderness and look down at your feet, you'll see an incredible variety of 'stuff' that has fallen off of other stuff--like acorns, tiny pebbles, twigs, bits of moss, dead plants, animal hairs and droppings, seeds, etc. etc. My husband coined a word for it: "pleh." (ie, if you park under a sappy tree, you get tree pleh all over your nice clean car!) Computer art needs more pleh, and you, kind person that you are, are providing it. Never boring! (Candy or gum wrappers sounds good for future projects.......)

This series is wonderful, and fills a longstanding need in Poser. I hoe you find enough inspiration to keep going for a long time with it. Have you considered doing something like a ground surface contoured like a worn brick, cobblestone, or broken concrete alley, with drainage gutter down the center, potholes, metal drain covers, etc? I don't know if that would be your cup of tea, but that, plus a worn brick wall, with broken windows, graffiti, exposed pipes, rusty FireEscape & electric meter would be a perfect setting to go with your series so far. - Urban Industrial Grunge is a whole category that's practically absent in Poser. By the way, you can grunge up your textures-- either before you load them or in postwork. Take a look for grunge brushes-- nocturna.net is a good source. They spread dirt and can be a life saver. Many of these places are not free but linkware however, once you see what a grunge brush looks like it's not too hard to make your own. Scanned clouds with noise are a good source. Dab it over a wall, instant dirt. The brushes on the web work for either PSP or PS, just change the tag. I think the PSP tag is .jbr. Fallen leaves would be a good prop however, and twigs and rocks. All you need is one or two of each. One can reposition, change the material color and produces several varieties that way. Emily
