If I win anything I just want the value in stuff from bbay...

davo ( ) posted Thu, 02 March 2000 at 2:36 PM

Are bbay artists allowed to participate? Davo

CharlieBrown ( ) posted Thu, 02 March 2000 at 2:53 PM

I would suspect so, as long as they use products made by OTHER BBay artists instead of or in addition to their own...

A 'Renderosity' contest? It's really a BBay contest and should be noted as such. Non BBay customers are left out, even if we are regulars of Renderosity...

heya; cool promo idea for bbay, but i have to agree with diana on this one. unless, of course, you count some of the free goodies made available by bbay artists on the site. (still generates traffic, if not hard sales. ;) )

We call it a Renderosity Contest because it is hosted here and only involves our members who have purchased the products. Also the money prizes are coming from both BBAY and Renderosity. Either way you stack it up, it's a contest where if you spend or have spent any money over there on products (most things cost $30) you have a chance to win $500.00 not a bad investment if you ask me. In regards to BBAY artists, yes they can join in the contest, but it has to be from using a product that isn't theirs (something created by another artist - its only fair). Jack

I'm a little unclear about part of the rules. When you say using things purchased from BBAY artists does it mean you can use ONLY things purchased from BBAY artists or can you use SOMETHING purchased and things gotten from other places?

CharlieBrown ( ) posted Fri, 03 March 2000 at 12:13 PM

Gawain, I think it's clear that you have to include at LEAST one item PURCHASED from BBay, but everything else can come from any other (legal) source. The BBay item doesn't even have to be a dominant element, I think - just so long as it's there and you bought it, the image is "legal." There don't seem to be all that many rules to this contest! :-)
