The J L Picard character by Da Ferret inspired me to try a real person. (I think he suggested miss Troi himself so i guess half a dozen projects like this is going on...) I have ever tried a project like this before and i would appreciate some feedback. This far i've been concentrating on the eyes and nose. I found the texture on HayWorldLand. And a BIIIIG thanks to you Traveler for all the morphs AND the magnet tutorial. Jeesus, magnets are great!

Great work on the eyese and mouth, but I think her face is a little more .. squarish (or perhaps flatter? See the second pic in the upper right hand corner to see what I'm talking about) than the face you have. Leaving out the hair actually helps to see the face shape too -- good idea. Or is her being bald the "Complement" to Picard? :-)

I would just scale her face up on the x axis and it should be perfect. -Darth Logice

Droool! Great work ohman, keep it up. Eyebrows need work (my two cents).

First i planned to do a Worf character but i think he would have been a overwhelming task as a firs-time-real-character :-) I haven't worked at all with the eyebrows yet - that's the text thing on the to-do list. I think her mouth needs a little more work to and there is something with her "nose wings" (What are they called in english???) Her ears also has to be bigger. The funny thing with doing this character is that i messed around for days trying different morphs without getting her to look right. Then i read Travelers "magnet tutorial 3" and added just four magnets to different groups around her eyes. This made a huge difference and lets me control details much more. The problem is that i need a good texture. I have never made one before but i think i'll give it a try if i just could find a good (and big) frontal photo.

Forgot to mention the biggest problem: Her hair! I like the "big style" Troi hair. Has anyone ever seen a hair close to that???

As for the hair, maybe combining the Spiral Perm with the standard Curly Hair might work...

I think she needs fuller lips. The upper lip isn't quite right. It dips in at the corners too much. The eyes are just about perfect. Good start! Melanie

So when do you think we'll see this on Funstuff? Been meaning to make an attempt at Deanna myself. I could work on a texture if you'd like. Dave

I will put it on the Funstuff when i think it is finished. I don't have much time this weekend, maybe sometimes next week. Off cause you can make a texture Dave! She definitely need another, this one is too dark.

Try putting her photo on tbe texture map. You've got a fairly good one right there on the lower left corner that would probably work for the texture. It's almost completely straight ahead and with pretty even lighting. That'll help enhance her likeness. Melanie
