Ok, I'm not a whiz at websites. I created a tex and transmap for the RDNA assassins boots.(see Image) Thought I'd put it in freestuff. Great so far. Put a new section in my website for downloads, linked up the zip file and am ready for business. Went to upload and the hoary hand of disenchantment surfaced. The thumbnail is supplied via a URL. I have no idea how from my website I can upload a 200X200 pixel image. So if one of you could kindly tell me how to do this I'd be forever grateful. It's ok to use the words obvious, basically, and who in the hell ever sold you a computer. I remain Manikin Flesh serving humanity in a barely discerable fashion.

Easy, just ftp the thumbnail .jpg to a directory on your site. The on the line in the free stuff that wants the info: http://TheNameofYourSite/TheDirectoryItsIn/TheThumbNail.jpg Obviously ( ;) ), you're not going to use TheName..., TheDirectory... and TheThumb... but the path on your site to get to the .jpg file.

I made a folder on my web site called "files." I put all my zipped and thumbnail files in there. Each freebie has two files: (name).zip & (name).jpg For example: mikefaces.zip mikefaces.jpg I always use lower case letters for everything, and I try to keep the filenames short. I also keep a list of the links to all my Free Stuff files. Here is an example: Mike's Emotions: File: http://205.122.23.229/ronknights/ Thumbnail: http://205.122.23.229/ronknights/files/mikeface.jpg *** All links in Free Stuff take you to my site. You can see all the latest freebies right on the first page. I hope this helps.

Gentlemen, Thanks for the help and taking the time. I figured out what I was doing wrong. I was doing website, directory, jpeg. The jpeg file was resident under the website name. So it was website/jpeg. It's now up and running. Thanks again. And it's discernable not discerable. I should have stayed awake in class. Bill

Usually it is best to stick with 3-letter file extensions: jpg instead of jpeg, etc.
