Subject: DAZ Fairie Question

I just DL'd this character. Is the base mesh P4 or Victoria. I want to transfer some morphs to my one of my collection bases. = )

Actually, I was told she was Nude Young Woman based, which is not exactly Posette-- different mapping and dimensions. The morphs may still transfer, I don't know. I do know that Serge Marck's site poserfashion.net has a remapping that allows you to use posette textures on NYW, but I don't think the Fairy has the Obj to allow the remapping. Someone else may know if there is a work around. Emily

The DAZ Fairy is Nude Young Woman with an outfit, decent wings, and a nice feminine hairdo. Serge Marck and Steve of PoserWorld both like the figure and have made clothing for this shape. (You can make the wings invisible, or Traveler may have a "no wings" morph for this figure if you want to go this route.) There are several lovely fairy texture maps in the free stuff sections (I'm particularly thinking of the Fairy Queen with green tattooing). I'm not sure that you can move her specific morphs to another figure, but P4 would be the closest in terms of basic mesh.

Here are all three "out of the box" with D~mentia's elvenface morph set to 1.00 for comparision. The recurring problem I run into with the fairy is with certain facial morphs available in freestuff she has a tendancy to become horridly warped around the chin/lower mouth area and it juts out! She accepts most of the P4 woman morphs though. She's a pretty character with the right textures :) Laine's 3D Model World has a fancier wings and a no wings CR2 morphs available for her also.

All 3 what, clothing? Where is DMentia's elvenface morph available from? = )

Desdemmonna ( ) posted Sun, 28 July 2002 at 1:32 PM

All three models, Posette, Nude Young Woman and the Daz Fairy :) Clothing is P4 woman's t-shirt, Serge Marck's NYW clothes (poserfashion.net) and the wrap that the fairy comes dressed in. You can find the elf face morph at D~Mentia's freestuff- http://www.silverleifstudios.com/gallery/downloads.html scroll down for elven faces.zip

Hmm, I wish there were morphs of whichever body type she really is. I tried copying her morphs to possette. She only has head morphs. Of those only the Pointy Ears morph transfered. I wish there were more morphs for whatever mody frame she is. Thansk for the DL links! = )

Try Darkworld's Morphette :) http://www.succubusnation.com/darkworld/modelspage.htm Wring her out in Morphmanager...I did that with my fairy and most of the morphs look pretty damn good IMHO...works great with the NYW too!

Oh, Thorne's new mermaid fairy has some gorgeous face morphs that just look amazing on the Daz fairy too :p I have two stock figures, one for P4 female and one for Victoria where I stick all the morphs I can get my grubby little hands on (personal use of course) makes it worlds easier when I'm trying to create a new character.

You got the DAZ Fairy Morphs to copy and function? What base did you transfer to?

Desdemmonna ( ) posted Sat, 10 August 2002 at 4:23 AM

No, I've only been about to get most of the P4 morphs transfered over to the fairy, have never bothered to do fairy to P4 base :)

Ok, thanks for telling me, I'll go try that now! = )
