Subject: Quick question about Mover 4

Do you have to have a second copy of Vue for the second computer in order to use Mover for splitting rendering of animations? If so, then I guess the price is too high for me.

No you only need ONE copy of Vue. To setup and use the network rendering feature of Mover 4 simply insert the Mover 4 CD and double-click on the Install RenderCow icon on each computer that you want to network. HyperVue is Mover 4s network rendering system. Using HyperVue, you can create your own RenderFarm by distributing the rendering of your animations over a network of computers. Each computer on your network will render a separate frame of the animation. That way, if you have say 3 computers (of equivalent power) on your network, the animation will render 3 times faster! In order to take part in the rendering fun, each computer must receive a rendering node. The render nodes in HyperVue are called RenderCow. Basically, the RenderCow spends its time waiting for an order from the HyperVue Network Rendering Manager. As soon as it receives an order to start rendering a picture, it does so and then returns the completed render. The resulting picture is subsequently retrieved by the HyperVue Network Rendering Manager, and a new job is issued to the RenderCow.
