Don't mind me...I'm just excited, as I picked up a second-hand monitor for $15 (Jane was happy about that too *chuckle*) and connected it to my new graphics card (Matrox G550), and believe it or not...it worked! Now I don't have to worry about moving my pesky toolbars around to *see* an image I'm working on!! Cool! And it seems to work with Expression too! :-)>

Yeah, but I get such a lovely sun-tan from all the rads!! Don't worry everyone, there's mess there, it's just out of frame! LOL Artax! (I have an old Amiga 1000 and 1200, but they went to storage long ago) Slynky had been making me jealous over his set-up (wild and wooly as it is) so I eventually gave in to the green-eyed monster and spent the kids education money...thanks kids!! (only joking) ;-).

Ahh Artax, a real workspace and good music taste as well...mine are mainly Zappa...but King Crimson is good also, yes!

The more I look at it, the more I like it, I do think it's good! The fact is, no matter how closely I study it, no matter how I take it apart, no matter how I break it down... It remains consistent. I wish you were here to see it!! :-)>

Artax ( ) posted Mon, 29 July 2002 at 11:33 AM

he he he... "Indiscipline"... exactly what i mean... =P

Slynky ( ) posted Mon, 29 July 2002 at 11:49 AM

i figure me and artax tie for the messiest computer setup, tho if you take into acount that my messy rig only has one computer and two monitors, i think I'd win...

Slynky ( ) posted Mon, 29 July 2002 at 11:51 AM

oh, as for expression, i got that to work by dragging the program over both screens, not just by having the tools separated.

@Artax - yep indiscipline!!! I like King Crimson's later stuff, I have "Beat", "Three of a Perfect Pair" and "Discipline" on CD...I've got their earlier stuff on those funny black flat 12" round thingies...what were they called again? @ Slynky - I've now got the toolbars in Expression on the 15" screen Slynks and they always come up in the same config that I closed the program with...not only that but when I open a document or start a new one, it opens in a nice maximized window on my 17" monitor. I'm not sure why Expression wouldn't keep it's toolbar/workarea configuration for your set-up, maybe it's the software provided with the Matrox card that does that?

Artax ( ) posted Tue, 30 July 2002 at 3:31 AM

Punk so you have not the last 10 years albums? Thrak, B'Boom, Vroom and The Construction of Light (only to name few)? tsk tsk tsk... get 'em they definitively worth your attention... ah... these 17" monitors guyz.... tsk tsk tsk... life begin from 19" ones.... ;P
