I can't seem to get my photoshop color settings correct, my pics look great in paint shop pro, but in photoshop they are faded and look terrible. I love the colors and picture on my monitor, how do i just set it to use those same settings

I don't have (or used)Paint Shop Pro but: Does PSP use ICC Profiles? Is your monitor calibrated? Have you tried the Adobe Gamma utility (i think they dump it in the "goodies" folder)?? lota questions - no answers (yet) :) retrocity

thank so much for taking the time to answer, photoshop 5.5 works great right now without calibrating, I just did it though, so now i'm gonna reinstall 7 and hopefully that'll do it, I was always scared to, thinking it would change my current settings, all is well though, thanks again

Edit - Color Settings - Settings: Color Management Off Always seems to help.

I just recently posted a message in the PSP forum for the exact opposite - pics look great in PS but horrible in PSP! I was told I should check out the gamma settings in PSP, however I think it's more than that as they're already set to perfect.
