Can anyone please provide a clearer picture of a Beefeater, (Yeoman Warder), than this one? Both Jan and I have been searching the web for details but are unable to find anything better. I particularly need a close up of the emblems on his chest for my current project.

Thank you much :)

Can you still be incarcerated for not attending archery practice on the village green once a month? c1rcle, I'll be happy to supply the Head Warder with your address :)

Thanks Geoff, checking now.

bloodsong, if you ever visit the Tower of London and they ask you to kneel in front of a wooden block don't think its because you are about to be dubbed. :)

Just for everyone's information, it's the Tudor rose in the centre, Irish clover on the right and the Scottish thistle on the left. Of course it didn't become this until the UK was unified, before that it was just the Tudor rose. (Wales and England were represented by the rose). Now you can all sleep well at night...apart from Phil. makw

Well this one was fun to do even if the source material changed half way through. The brief was to model a Yeoman of the Guard in the reign of Elizabeth I. As you can see the uniform is similar to present day but not exact. Even then I found that historical accounts varied so had to take my best guess. I found one web site written by a serving yeoman and may email him for his opinion, be interesting to see his reply.

Again thanks for all your input.
