You have to be "deft-at-hand" but you can create brushes the mimic hair strands and basically paint them in on a seperate layer. I would change the "blend mode" to make it more believeable. But it's reall a matter of building up slightly different shades of the lash color. A good starting point would be to get some images of eyelashes and practice "side-by-side" :) retrocity
Pesonally I would just use my wacom and a small soft brush to draw them. You can use the color picker to make sure what you are drawing matches the existing color.
If you do not have a tablet, and are not comfortable drawing freehand with a mouse, you could use the pen tool to create a curve for each lash and then use the stroke command under edit. I would do this on a separate layer so you can control the opacity and have the option of playing with the blending modes.
-->create a new layer. -->Draw a very fine dark line around the rim of the eye where you want the lashes, then draw another fine line in a lighter color directly above the first line so that they are overlapping. ->Use the smudge tool set with a very small brush to smudge in precise, quick strokes in the direction you want the lashes. Using two colors will give a realistic natural look to the eyelashes as opposed to just plain black.

Does anyone know how to paint eye lashes onto a photgraph? I'm trying to create new eye lashes for the people who have very light eye lashes or hardly any at all. I can't clone them because they're too light. So if anyone knows how; please let me know.
