Looks alot more peaceful than inside the temple with that crazy nekkid chick and her sword. What was her name? Vicky Bobbit? Hmmm. At this time of the night I find myself wondering: if you were ever to do something cheesy, would you change your nick to "HokeyPokey(dots)"? I'm sorry. I'll send myself to bed immediately. G'night. ;-)

Nice. The 3rd is my favorite. I'm going to have to look up worldz. If he gets a shard off that wooden bench, then he'll really find out who his real friends are. Wont he?

Cromwell, having spent 13 years working in parks, you are never surprised at what happens.

Naw...Looks like he's just hanging... TJ, that could be you in a few weeks up at Yosemite... BTW, give Ansel Adams' ghost my regards. Save me the trip.

Q, I'll take a picture of the moon for ya in rememberance of Adams - even though all I've got now is a Minolta. - TJ

Look forward to it. Nice trip, man. Wish I could join you. I'll be there in spirit. Q

Bikermouse, Hey, don't disparage those Minoltas! I still grieve for mine. More than 2 decades of faithful, reliable, wonderful service, including taking a rock meant for my head, through waterfalls, up granite, and under snow-melt (that's where it took the rock). It died in the talcuum-fine sands of the Navaho Reservation. That dust penetrated everything. Now I AM feeling blue. :( Anyway, I'm taking a friend to Yosemite the weekend of the Perseid shower.... Is that about when you plan to be up there? Carolly

bikermouse ( ) posted Thu, 01 August 2002 at 6:55 AM

hauksdottir, It's good enough I'll admit. I just miss the OM1. The OM1 and I slipped about 100 feet into cherry creek once about 20 feet from a 30 foot waterfall. Camera was foggy for days but still worked. (so did I.) I'm sorry to hear of it's demise - especially since it seems to have saved your life. You've been to Monument Valley? The Navajo gave my group permission to sleep there one night. A rare privelege. Oh, no I read talcum and dust. Well Navajo land is a big place and very beautiful. Not sure on the exact dates. first or second week. I'll have an old dark blue backpack with an old post office patch and union jack patch. If you see me up there maybe we can have a cup of coffee or something. I'm sure I would enjoy talking to you in person. - TJ bikermouse

Just looking at the three pic in succession gives me the impression he's been sitting on that bench a looooong time.

pokeydots ( ) posted Thu, 01 August 2002 at 5:12 PM

Hiram, your right! When I did the pics, I just wanted to show how it looked under different lights, but, it look like he went from day to sunset to night! lol
